Hmm, once again I disagree with the "stupid" part but I will explain my reasoning with a comparison.
Take for example, a player who uses speed hacks and aim botting. People that do such things are obviously going to be banned permanently from a server they use these tools on, but why are they banned? What is the reason?
Cheating is the obvious answer, but it is more than that, coupled with it is the obvious unfair advantage and, most importantly to me, the ruining of the game for others. That person who hacks boosts their own enjoyment quite selfishly at the expense of others.
Now, by no means am I accusing Mio of being a hacker or being as thoughtless and unkind as a hacker, there have been times where Mio has played alongside me and I have enjoyed the experience and I shall admit that, for the most part, I like Mio. On this occasion however, Mio was disrupting the enjoyment of the game for others and it is because I know Mio, most unlike any hacker I have ever met, can be fun to play with and a nice person. Thus I only made it 100 minutes instead of a perma ban, thinking that after some time Mio would rejoin and we would just continue playing.
I am not interested in your poetry, give me a straight answer
That was a dumb comparison. :allears:
I disagree, I'm comparing the two instances by pointing out that, whilst one is obviously the lesser of two evils, they still have the same result ie spoiling the enjoyment of others.
If Mio had been a hacker, a perma ban would have be instantaneous and warranted, however, since it was such a small scale situation, didn't involve anything like hacking and again that I like Mio who can be fun most of the time, a much smaller amount of time seemed warranted.

If it's so small scale, why the hell does he deserve a ban?

Because it is still disrupting the enjoyment of others. If someone joins a server which is in full swing serious mode and starts to use a glitch, say, the fixed sentry bug, it is disrupting the enjoyment of those who are enjoying a serious game. Except, maybe, the odd spy or two who believe it is sapper Christmas.

Right so you like Mio but you choose to mock him with your forum signature.
Smooth move man, real smooth.
That kind of attitude would get your permissions revoked instantly if you were under FPUK's wing.
TF2 = serious business

"Why I should kick someone once if I can ban him instantly!?"

He explained what he did wrong and you just wont accept it,look at how many people are complaining at your stupid bans,:frog:
Perma-Banned from this one cp_manor_event server for "Using Wall-Hacking Materials", when really I just saw the particles bursting out of a window near A.
Though, the admin was a hypocrite, because he would noclip to the gift as a Pyro and blast away anyone who tried to get near it.
They are talkin about music in the unban thread right now. Seems like someone got owned or is out of excuses.
makes no sense
also, if a glitch is there and it's publicly known, people are going to use it
are you just gonna ban probably the 50+ people that will join and use it
It makes sense. I fucking loved the sentry glitch. I always play spy, and sapping several dozens of sentries and dispensers at once and seeing them blow up is fucking awesome.
I got banned for using Heavy and Engineer exploits. Thing is, it was more the fact I wouldn't tell them how to do the exploits that got me banned.

uuuuuuhm... :3:
Yes, quite a bit of pressure, all whilst moving mantelpieces, oh dear.
Firstly, my signature. that is simply my humour, before that I had a signature mocking someone else's signature, before that, one poking fun at a very good friend of mines, so on and so forth, it is simply friendly banter on my part.
Yes, if a glitch is publicly known it is hard to justify banning a lrage amount of people, but if you go into said server who are playing the game properly and they say "Don't do the sentry glitch" you can expect to be banned if you do. Also, when that sentry glitch was around, I played about with in servers, but I did so with the knowledge that I may be banned for it and I accepted that, but if they told me to stop, I would stop.
He claimed he was lagging, but didn't appear to be to me as Mio reacted to other pyros when they fought back as any other skilled player would.
I am talking about music in that thread cause there is nothing else to say, I made my point and that is all. I have a feeling there will be more responces awaiting me when I press reply.

Well, your "humour" sucks then. :allears:
Its just a dick move to have banned him and then gloat about it in your signature, are you 13 or something?
£10 says that's not actually Donny and just some alt fucking with you guys.
should've said
"ok, ok heres how you do it"
"how?"
"google"
then leave fashionably
Nah.
Type "premium" in chat.
Watch as everyone in the server instantly puts it in chat.
or !noclip and /noclip
or type quit in the console
the fact that its taking you 10 minutes to type up a reply that is pretty small is just saying that you're being very careful about what you're saying because you know WE'RE RIGHT
the fact that you BAN people for using a glitch that will get fixed is ridiculous. give warnings and then kick them and they'll rejoin and know to stop
I did warn Mio, I warned everyone not to disrupt it because there is usually someone who decides they would rather muck it up than just join in. I also kicked Mio as well before the ban then explained why i kicked when he rejoined.
It took me ten minutes because as I mentioned I was moving a mantelpiece through to my living room.
I was not "gloating". As I mentioned, I think Mio is a fun person and would have taken it in good humour along with anyone else. I do take my fair share of ribbing myself you know, in and out of signatures.
or !noclip and /noclip
Kids always fall for that one.
you're just using the mantelpiece story to throw us off
stop it
Very well, mantlepiece is forgotten and nothing more than a distant memory.
I did warn and kick before hand though.
List of times I've been banned from GMG:
-I first joined the server for the first time and went to the deathmatch area.
*Banned for 100 minutes.
-I rejoined the server the next day to find there was nobody around. An admin joined.
*Banned for 100 minutes.
-First Halloween update came out. People were harvesting achievements. I grabbed a crit pumpkin.
*Banned for 2 days.
-2 days passed and I joined. I was punching a dispenser (very interesting stuff) and I was teleported to the deathmatch area. I was trapped in a cage with a floating medic above me. He spawned halloween pumpkins around me and then exploded them. I wandered to the deathmatch area again and punched out a soldier. Turns out he was admin as well.
*Banned a week.
-Joined the server later to actually help a friend of mine get an achievement. He got it and then an admin joined.
*Permanent ban.
I once also mentioned the admin room was just a broom closet.
I guess this is a reverse story, an admin complaining about a trouble-maker, but here goes:
I used to have my own 24/7 Mario Kart server (I now how many people hate those kind of servers, so I'm probably going to be rated dumb). I advertised it as a "Fun / Achievement Server". In the rules, I added "No bothering those who are trying to get achievements", which was the only reason I would kick people .
One day, when the server was almost full, some guy thought it'd be funny if he built a sentry right by a bunch of people trying to get engineer achievements. Everybody started complaining instantly. I gave the owner of the sentry several warnings, all of which he ignored. Since he decided to ignore all means of "being friendly", I decided to take matters into my own hands. I gave myself godmode and destroyed his sentry myself.
Immediately after, he wrote in chat "Fucking little douchey admin abuser". I was officially pissed, this was the first time I had gotten this pissed at somebody for not listening to the rules. I kicked him right away with the reason "Fucking little douche not reading the rules". I realized I was a little brash and could have explained the situation to him first. I was just so pissed at how ignorant he was.

That... should be reported in the admin abuse area, did you know this admin? Anything personal between you? Can you remember their name? Though its usually best to report immediately, and with an unban request. WHats your steam id and I'll see if I can get you unbanned.
I think that area is full of ''DONNY DID ....''

It was actually several admins. It was a year ago too. Not too interested in rejoining the group now though.
