I didn't mean I won't HEAL them, don't be ridiculous.
I just mean that if I have a another choice available, I would avoid buddying up with them because they are likely to get me killed and I would be better serving my team by choosing another buddy.
That makes sense. But a Natascha Heavy who has any brains won't have a higher chance of getting you killed. And it is common sense not to buddy with backburner pyros. You got your explanation post in while I was writing the mini-rant :v: so I didn't get that.
Brass Beast isn't very good in enclosed areas, to be honest.
As a scout it's easy to fake out Brass Beast heavies and make a quick escape because they can't chase you and if they do it takes too long for the Beast to rev up.
In open space, however, the Beast is... well, a Beast.
The Brass Beast is pretty much Heavy before he got his massive buff, except with a large damage boost. So, it's much better on the defensive than the offensive.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with miniguns but it's still on the topic of which unlock I prefer.
For some reason I've come to like GRU + Steak. I run just a little faster than a scout while under the effects of the steak, so I can get behind the enemy lines and flank them, 90% of the time they won't be expecting this at all. GRU + Steak is freaking hilarious too, I've been called a hacker quite a lot because people didn't realise the effects of the steak.
I've also gotten the intel a lot on 2fort, shit was gold.
I use minigun. I seem to die a lot more when I use Brass beast
The Brass Beast, the perfect weapon for Steampunk lovers [img]http://static.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img]
I switch between all of them. Natascha for more serious games (or lobbies), since it's a bit more team-oriented; Minigun for offense (generally); Brass Beast for defense (or whenever I forget to switch).
I only use the brass beast in medieval mode for the set bonus.
It's awesome.
Fists of steel + shotgun
Brilliant for fucking around with peoples heads.
"Oh I'll pull out my saw and one hit him"
"Damn, shotgun, back to needles"
"God damn it, back to melee"
I absolutely love being an iron berserker (Beast + Steak + FoS).
With Brass Beast you have an excellent edge on defense, but if you pop a steak in your face you can go cause mayhem to the frontlines with your FoS. You can safely retreat back behind the defense line and continue as usual. It's fantastic.
use the set / w FoS, but use it only on defense. You need as much speed and mobility as you can on attack, since it doesn't do any extra damage to buildings, you can spin down and get out of an uber/ spin up to destroy the sentry sooner, and hopefully be able to destroy one more sentry, then go push cart.
(although i have NOT tried the Brass Beast yet)
for payload map slowness: just stand ontop of the cart, ehhhhh.

then get sniped :downs: lolololol

if there's more than one sniper on the enemy team you shouldn't be playing heavy in the first place.
It all comes down to what you prefer
I prefer the O.G. Minigun, Sandvich, fists and a golden football helmet, and I would never switch away from that combo! It's badass!
The Brass goes well with the steampunk skin pack.
id like to try the steak+bear hands. seems like fun.
