ɹǝʇɐʍpɐq‾ןd I'd like to see it.
how about download then join a server with them It's another idea that's so simple people like you just whine because you didn't think of it before It's like in TF2 emporium, where I lack a lot of creativity and think that everything simple and easy is done, then some guys puts a light bulb onto pyro's gasmask and it's damn amazing that concept of mirroring old maps and stuff is fucking amazing, and it feels like completely different map but you still have that feeling that you know where to go, you end in completely different place
I'm not sure where you got that I care about someone flipping the map, and think I'm whining because I didn't think of it first(Yes, I saw before your edit.), but that's retarded. The only thing I could see as "confusing" about any of these maps is walking out of the spawn and that's only because the spawn rooms are somewhat generic. After you get out of the spawn room and realize that you need to go left rather than right, no decent player should have any difficulty, unless they're blind, in which case they probably can't play no matter what map. Visual clues or landmarks or whatever you want to call them will always point out the way to go. Like props in the map, it shouldn't take longer than maybe a second to realize that the prop that was on the right against the wall at the corner is now on the left at the corner and you should go left, not right. If you're running into walls because you can't figure out the map, then you're blind or do the same exact thing every single game multiple times a game and have formed some sort of fucked up blind muscle memory for those maps, which I don't see being possible, at all. Also, I was going to use dustbowl as an example of visual clues, but then I realized the mapper is shit. You'd have to play the maps over and over, blind, and do the same things to have any sort of trouble navigating. The only problem is right after walking out of spawn, after that you have eyes and shouldn't walk into things thinking you could go that way before.
Me and Anton will upload these maps to our server. I let you know when we're done.
The server is up and running. The server is European. 85.190.39.175:27015 Download the mappack yourself and extract it to your tf/maps
Series 2 should include cp_steel, pl_upward and ctf_doublecross. I'd love to see Upward mirrored.

Yeah, don't knock these before you try them. They really shake things up. I've played on mirrored dustbowl and it is CRAZY.
Series 2 should include cp_steel, pl_upward and ctf_doublecross. I'd love to see Upward mirrored.
Oh god, mirrored Steel... :byodood:
Joining a server now. Yay pl_retawdab!
Joining a server now. Yay pl_retawdab!
It sounds like "retarded" if you try to pronounce it.
These maps fuck your brains. edit: I think FPUK2 have these maps on rotation. If you people want them re-adding rate this agree, if I get about 5 I'll re-add them into the system so they can be voted. Also, you wont need to download the map pack before joining, we've got FASTDL setup because we're not stupid. [editline]22nd December 2010[/editline] Maplist updated, maps are now on the cycle.
I played on backwards gravelpit accidentally (before I saw this thread) and loved it. I honestly thought that the mirroring wasn't the only change until I saw this thread. It makes you relearn the maps, and in the process you learn a few things. ("Wow, was Gravelpit point A always that high?")
Is Tf2maps down or something? I can't connect. [editline]22nd December 2010[/editline] Also this looks amazing. I haven't tried it, but I hope it'll be fun! :buddy:
Basically, what these maps say is this, "Oh, you know these maps like the back of your mouse hand? Alright, well let's flip the script and see how well you do :smug:" Also, I could've sworn that corridor on Dustbowl, Stage 3 when yer heading to the final point, I swear it was never THAT skinny D:
Yeah, I can't connect to tf2maps.net either. Oh, the dumb ratings. Makes me wish Bad Reading was still here :gonk:
