I darkened the Dangeresque glasses a little so they'd match the originals and not be an ugly white. Which is better?
Why not just use paint?
Costs emone?
Why not just remodel it so it actually looks like the Dangeresque glasses? v:v:v
Dangeresques should be Hound Dog shades

What's up facepunch I've been posting over at polycount for a while but with all of the awesome stuff coming from this forum I figured it would be good to throw my hat into the ring (delicious puns) It's a cavalry hat modeled after the one Robert Duvall wears in Apocalypse Now. The hat is a hat, and the glasses/neckerchief are a misc item. Unfortunately the glasses look totally badass with some items, but clip with others (chieftain's challenge, spartan helmet, and one or two others I can't remember) Eventually I'd like to have these be part of an air cavalry themed pack, including a cavalry saber melee weapon and some kind of new rocket launcher which I have no idea how I'm going to pull off

That's not a shirt... [editline]22nd December 2010[/editline] So, you guys remember the skateboard? I'm remaking it, and I think this time I'm going to be able to convince a certain electrial malfunction to animate it for me. I'm probably also going to remake the headband. Why would I do all this? Because I've gotten better at modeling, that's why.
Progress on my brazier. I thickened up the metal supports, added spikes, further sculpted the spike ending, and made an attempt at wrapped fabric. At the moment I am not personally pleased with the fabric which in the end would be great with scorch marks, holes, and jiggle bones. [flame is stand in] Suggestions n comments and the like would be most appreciated. Help with the fabric would also be great.
http://i.imgur.com/RgnXS.png and thus the countdown for how long this will take begins.
If it's a large project for LODs on all weapons and items, won't custom models have to be redone completely to also have LODs? Or am I mistaken? On a side note: anyone else getting this after the recent update when using the StudioRender to compile? You might want to make it a little smaller, or at least make the pole thinner. As it is right now it looks too stout.
I don't think it will matter because I am pretty sure LODs are part of the models themselves and simply interpreted by the engine, so any skins with LODs will keep them and any without can go cry about it or something.

Might I recommend the name "The Big Duke" (Col. Kilgore's radio handle is Big Duke 6)
-Wrong fucking thread-
This mod will haunt the depths of my nightmares forever. He looks like a rapist. But as long as you are doing a male head, someone should do a female head. Just not as scary.
Nobody ever said that Concept-Brought-To-Life-Pyro was a male Pyro.
I reckon some of them are overdetailed and most of them need anti-aliasing but still, it's good work. That'll teach me for being away from a computer for ~2 days.
Anti-aliasing? I could blur them a tiny bit if that's what you mean, but they were drawn with Flash and then resized with Paint .NET, I don't really see how there can be aliasing. :v: Mind pointing out which ones are overdetailed? Someone told me that the Amputator had too many details, and the Jag's handle too.
When are we going to get a sample of the new icons, Neo?
Hey, I can release mine in the meantime, if you want, but a lot of them won't work, like the Claidheamohmor (it uses the Eyelander killicon), the Candy Cane and the Boston Basher (they both use the regular bat killicon) and the Loch-n-Load. Unless I provide a modified items_game.txt as well, I don't know. I sent mine to Robin two days ago anyway, so I guess I'll just wait and hope for a reply.
Just working on an idea I had. Don't know if I'll finish this though.
Just got my TF2 dream hat, The Attendant, and have a small request after looking through the Wiki page for it. Can someone re-skin it to make it look like the original creator's concept, and make the tie stripe team-colored? It looked much better imo. ARE YOU READY TO HAVE YOUR FACE ROCKED RIGHT THE FUCK OFF? First, here's the new render of the newly completed skateboard now with ADDED detail, LESS polygons, and even MORE cartoony... [editline]22nd December 2010[/editline] I need to learn how to animate, or something, because all my ideas require new animations. :/
Your skateboard could probably be a melee weapon if you wanted it to though. Although I must agree it would still feel a bit boring with a skateboard unlock that didn't have anything to do with skateboarding... if it was a melee it would at least be a lot cooler with a skateboard related taunt.
