Your just very defeatist. I am a shit modeller I don't even fully get how to alpha map. I keep meaning to learn but I cant find any that get it across to me. I still try though and submit models to valve knowing what horrors they do to models with alphas let alone leaving them to make one.

No, trust me, I suck compared to Svdl, Daimao, NeoDement, any many modelers that I may have missed, as well the entirety of the Polycount forums.

With regards to the Pyro mask with transparent eyeholes, I had an idea. Instead of making them transparent, how about making the lenses broken so you can see his eyes that way? That might look better, and less out-of-place.
