I made a few more changes to the chainsaw, and my Australian cohort who helped on this project idea wise is also going to help me optimize it a little better (you think the polycount is high? Try the TRIANGLE count, it's 24,000+!). Anyway, this is pretty much the finished product; very few changes will be made after this.
One of the things SeneorGoat suggested was to use a thick pipe border with a plane in it that has a alpha texture on it for the chunk guard. I disagree, but what do you guys think? I find the alpha textures in Valve games don't come out so great for sharp edges... but if it's preferable I'll do it. Honestly, I like the mesh myself.

Ooh, instead of eyeholes, it should jsut be holes. Like, with black on the other side. The look we're going for here is scary, which means as little anthropomorphization as possible, so that he looks like a monster instead of a person. Thus, instead of visible eyes, let's just have black pits.

Exactly, you could stare at the eye holes but you'd only be staring into the abyss.

The length is kind of at fault here. the cannon isn't aligned any differently than the miniguns, but you don't notice the wrong angle in them because they aren't as long.
By the way, I forgot to mention this but I finally got a solid answer from Robin regarding the inclusion of my loadout icons in-game...
...and he says they aren't interested. Oh well. Doesn't mean I'll stop working on it or anything; just that it'll remain a community mod.

He didn't say why, but it's not hard to see why they wouldn't want to bother with importing hundreds of user-made icons into the game. There isn't anything REALLY wrong with the originals in the first place; just a few that clip on the edges a bit. Not to mention if they did choose to use my icons, what happens when it's time to release new items? They would either have to very dangerously give a commoner like me access to their secret new models just to make some silly icons or they would have to put out their usual icons and wait for me to make new ones every single time. Not exactly the easiest thing to arrange given how busy they are with far more important things.
Because Robin doesn't want Gabe to fire the entire art staff for not being able to do what they're paid to do that Shugo has been doing for free this whole time.
