You should probably change the font, I don't think it's used anywhere in-game except on the HUD.

I decided to go back to my Demo Shield and redo the texture and uv maps. This time around, I want to do an actual emblem instead of just copy/pasting the bomb logo and calling it a day. I'm not sure what to do though. Any ideas?

You should replace the face with either the TF2 logo, or as its team coloured, put each teams logo on the front.

Not that I know of. There is actually an official Degroot clan coat of arms from the WAR comic but someone on Polycount used it for their own shield and I don't want to copy them.

An old canteen model that I picked back up now that I actually know how to place it on the soldier's belt - I'm going to redo the textures to make the color match the coat color and actually use a stencil font for the lettering :)
