Red could do with some pink sprinkles, and blue could do well with some purple.

This is not HD. He have just rescale the VALVe texture and add the class badges from TF2 Wiki.
My HD version is a completly new texture map.

I have play with thoses 4 new textures in blu and red and i don't see a FPS drop.

I'm loving the battery and the wires, but I'm not digging the barrel with those "rings" and the pump, looks very strange to me.

I'm going for a kind of utilitarian look, where the bare minimum is required. I figure the Engie to be someone who wouldn't care for looks, and so he'd just strap four rails together and magnetise them to make a railgun. The rings are for keeping everything together. I'm not too sure about the pump, myself, but I was trying to make it more like a normal shotgun in that regard.
Fun fact: I suck at modelling. This is evidenced by the wires taking up 2320 triangles. :v:

I suppose you have automatic unwrapping ticked somewhere. I know for a fact 3ds Max has that in the dialog when you bake anything into the texture. If you are using Blender, it might have something like that somewhere too.

To fix the hole, select all the vertices around the hole and size it to 0. The hit remove doubles in the buttons panel. You can select all the vertices in one by using alt + click.
