It was nice of Valve to give some items their very own voice lines but I'm a bit peeved they didn't take this time to make any more MvM/cart lines for the classes that don't already have some. Just seems like a lot of effort went into stuff that will be forgotten after a month or so, compared to content available year round.

Granted the new map isn't much to call home about in terms of gameplay. It looks great and spells are fun, but it still has that deathmatch/stalemate feeling Hightower has always had. That and trying to get to the magic book in hell is a nightmare with so many people killing each other.

The problem is that the other Hallowe'ens all put a spin on the levels in the form of a boss - be it a giant pumpkin beast who will hunt you down, a floating eyeball blasting magicks, or an irate wizard who did something (didn't play last year). However, this time the bosses are already dead. They shout at you, sure, but the spells are only used by players against players. Rather than jumping into a portal left by the defeated boss to get a bonus (an incentive to put aside differences to play this new halloween-y game), a static book just kind of appears.

Yep this is happening but only on Sourcemod servers I think. I was on an SM server earlier and it wasn't causing crashes, then again a bunch of server owners on Alliedmodders are complaining about it.
