Does anyone know if putting more pages into your fancy spellbook does anything?
hl2.exe has stopped working and wants to make you break your computer since it's an unstable program that'll crash 99.99% of the time.
that's my experience with scream fortress at the moment

I was under the impression that it worked like the Dota International courier in that it gets a progressively bigger particle effect the more pages it has. But that's just speculation on my part.
The teleport spell is personally my favorite. I like jumping off the cliff right before throwing it in a high arch, only to teleport back up. Then you can do a nice surprise kill on someone.

It's your custom HUD, if you remove it you can see what spell you have on the bottom near your HP.

Since this update,worldmodel animations for bats and allclass weapons(like objector) are broken for me,its like the swing in Black Mesa,anyone got this problem or its me?

custom hud, broken, too lazy to uninstall/wait for update of hud etc
I kind of wish these spells weren't map-specific.
Imagine you could do magic on every server that doesn't have it disabled. Oh boy.

I imagine if the skeleton king was working he'd add a bit of boss to the map and change it up a bit.
i wish that the skeleton king had a custom model, because he uses a sniper rig and wears a demo crown, which clips with his own head.
can we agree that the spells are basically roll the dice mod, like how they forced prophunt last year?
you pick up a spell, it gives you a random buff that you can use by pressing a button (bind a key to sm_rtd and it's essentially the same thing)
the only difference is that with spells it's ALWAYS good, but with RTD sometimes you get shit ones

Well Wheel of Fate was RTD, me and my cousin even said "Hey it's RTD!" when we first started playing it.

wheel of fate affects everyone's status and you have to cap a point, RTD was more about multiple players having different effects and could use it whenever they wanted, but they're similar
Wheel of Fate is RTD, spells are plasmids from Bioshock.
The main difference is that you don't get a buff, you get an ability that you can activate at any time. Literally like that part in Bio 1 when you had your genes scrambled every other minute.

My rig is a laptop with integrated Intel graphics and I haven't crashed yet :v:
It's mario kart except you can't find bananas, fake spells, and blue shells that home in on the best player in the server.

I looked at a video of someone unboxing that. It acts like a pile o'gifts or pallet of crates. Affects everyone in the server (but only if they agree to it) and only lasts for some to-be-mentioned time according to the description.
I actually enjoy the new system instead of a boss since there's no rage from players not cooperating with the rest of the team. Now, you won't have rage when the boss wastes time because 20% of the server Is busy getting easy back stabs rather than helping. The issue with merasimus was the only way to kill him was to have the entire server wait around as huntsman sniper and ban whoever even thinks of killing. This style is more like regular tf2 and that is a better fit.
ON THE TOPIC OF HALLOWEEN RESTRICTION:
It Sucks.
Yes, we knew that the items were going to be restricted.
No, knowing does not make it any better.
Some cool items were restricted to Halloween, and some bad ones too, ([B][I][U]STFU[/U][/I][/B] About the fucking Magical fuckin Mercenary we know you fucking hate it just shut up, its not going to get removed) . The cycle of Restriction went with:
Paper Mask (restricted) =>
HHH hat and more masks (all but the S.Hale mask restricted) =>
Halloween costumes all restricted, first 3x major case of people hating restrictions I've seen, don't know about masks, some people want the costumes unrestricted. Otherwise on a brink. =>
2012, community items. seemingly restricted at random, like valve had some darts and threw them at the items and made them restricted. Players revolt, saying that this was actual people's work and they had no indication things would be restricted. No changes. =>
2013. Valve, this time says ALL items will be restricted. No major major upset until actual update launches. Valve still does nothing. More community work practically thrown in the toilet.
Valve obviously doesn't care about money around Halloween, they would get so much more if they only unrestricted some of the lesser Halloween related items.

Come on, teleport is one of the best ones! There's just so much you can do with it. Just going off the top of my head here, you can:
teleport from ground level to the top of a tower
teleport from the top of a tower to ground level, without any fall damage
jump right into a fight from far away to surprise enemies and help out your teammates
bail out of a fight by teleporting to the other side of the map
teleport around during a fight, getting behind your enemy or going on top of rocks and crates and stuff
teleport right behind that one tunnel-vision sniper without him even noticing
get onto the cart on the final elevator part without having to climb the tower
un-fall off a cliff by teleporting back up, like someone brought up earlier
Self-teleportation is basically the best mechanic ever, and I'd love if there was a way to make a more balanced version of it and add it in as a normal weapon. I'd never unequip it.
(the blast jump spell is pretty crap though, i'll give you that)

my problem with teleports is that it's affected by gravity
i can't use it to escape from fights since i'll judge the shot poorly because of the stress and end up teleport down the lava
I dunno about you guys, but to me the spells are really annoying. Like if you get the jump on someone they can just turn around and summon Monoculus and get away while you die. Sure they're fun when you're the one summoning a hellfire barrage onto a group of people, but if it isn't fun for the receiver and the giver it's a bad mechanic which ultimately means it's no fun.

It makes me not want to play the game when I leave spawn to get a gift, someone throws the bats at me and sends me flying, and when I try to get back up they just throw more bats at me
