Previously, the buff only applied to the first jump, now it applies to doublejump as well.
Oh. I already knew that, but wasn't aware about the second jump thing.
Previously, the buff only applied to the first jump, now it applies to doublejump as well.
What about the third jump with the atomizer? That would be nuts.
Does it take too long after the second jump to gain extra height to switch to the FaN for an extra jump? If so... I wonder how high and how for you could jump with the winger, fan, and atomizer
What about the third jump with the atomizer? That would be nuts.
Adding the forth jump possible with the FaN you could get some serious air.
Adding the forth jump possible with the FaN you could get some serious air.
FAN doesnt work because winger needs to be active weapon it only affects single, double and triple (atomizer) jumps
FAN doesnt work because winger needs to be active weapon it only affects single, double and triple (atomizer) jumps
Jump with Winger, quickly switch to FaN in air?
I will be sorely disappointed if I don't see this in 2fort every full moon from now on. [t]http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/6227/0su6.png[/t]
I still think the items in Haunted quality should be usable year-round, or at least more than just Halloween/full moons, especially since they're the ones that come out of crates.
You're basically arguing that the zipperface should be seen all year
This year's Halloween event: B- + New lines + Fun, new mechanics that make it unique + New items that don't suck - The map is Hightower - Valve's priorities are out of order (getting new lines for all the classes, but only for something we will barely ever see, etc.) - After an hour, I already heard all of Blutarch and Redmond's lines - The map is Hightower - The event is buggy and a part of it doesn't even work - The map is Hightower
B- is a bit generous, this is C level material. It's like they took a bunch of unused stuff from the other Halloween events and shoved them into one. The spells in particular seem like they were supposed to be intended for the 2012 event, what with Merasmus being a wizard and all. In addition, while a lot of the new hats and misc. are nice, the Workshop was FILLED with great weapon models yet none were added. Combine that with the fact that Hell is a reskinned underworld and the "boss" is just a couple of skeletons makes the entire thing really disappointing [sp]Also I'm really cheesed off at the fact that there's 5 minutes and 31 seconds of dialogue for a unicorn hat yet no new MvM, regular Payload, Domination (Medic), and/or High Five lines for all the classes missing them.[/sp]

There is always a way to make a hat look good.
There is always a way to make a hat look good.
Pretty much this. Even the pilot hat for Scout looks good with several summer/fall 2013 items.
It's funny because I didn't even notice the Reddit hat at first, and was sorely confused.
In addition, while a lot of the new hats and misc. are nice, the Workshop was FILLED with great weapon models yet none were added.
Why are people expecting weapons from an annual update that has only ever had one new weapon added? Halloween is not a new content update. It is a just-for-fun gimmick update. You fight the boss, you get costumes, then you go back to playing normally.

[t]http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/6227/0su6.png[/t]
Fun fact: The male angler fish is actually a minuscule creature that fuses to the body of the much larger female, atrophying away until only a pair of gonads remain.
can't decide if adding ghostly footprints to a spy hat was awesome or stupid probably a little of both
Fun fact: The male angler fish is actually a minuscule creature that fuses to the body of the much larger female, atrophying away until only a pair of gonads remain.
just like me
can't decide if adding ghostly footprints to a spy hat was awesome or stupid probably a little of both
It'd be dumb because if memory serves me the footsteps still appear even when you're cloaked
It'd be dumb because if memory serves me the footsteps still appear even when you're cloaked
I know which is awesome and dumb
I know which is awesome and dumb
Could be a bastard with it and stalk Medics while cloaked. See what their reaction is to glowing footprints appearing out of nowhere
Could be a bastard with it and stalk Medics while cloaked. See what their reaction is to glowing footprints appearing out of nowhere
Except you won't be able to play Spy if you have flaming footsteps form from your feet even if you're supposed to be invisible
Added HalloweenSetUsingSpells input to the tf_logic_holiday entity for custom Halloween maps to enable spells
So which custom map will have spells first?
So which custom map will have spells first?
trade_minecraft_event
Actually I'm toying with spells. Though I have a distinct lack of creativity and determination. If I got ideas maybe I can glue them together and something decent will happ- OH SHIT I FORGOT TO GIVE CP_DEGROOTKEEP SPELLS EDIT: DAMNIT THE DECOMPILED MAP WONT LOAD WITHOUT CRASHING MID-WAY
wouldn't the standard degroot be way too small to like most of the spells? a monoculus spell in front of the castle would basically cover 3/4 of the playable area, sans the castle itself.
wouldn't the standard degroot be way too small to like most of the spells? a monoculus spell in front of the castle would basically cover 3/4 of the playable area, sans the castle itself.
Pretty sure the entity is able to distinguish rare spells and common spells.
Pretty sure the entity is able to distinguish rare spells and common spells.
Still one fireball would be able to completely clear the point. That would be a little much. This coming from a guy that plays caber demo in Degroot keep too.
wouldn't the standard degroot be way too small to like most of the spells? a monoculus spell in front of the castle would basically cover 3/4 of the playable area, sans the castle itself.
Problem solves itself, remember Monoculus is one of the rare spells from the purple spell book, which can't be acquired unless: A. You kill the Skeleton King, which can't spawn unless you set up a event to do so. B. From the clock tower, which like the Skeleton King, can't be even possible unless you place the object and event. C. You acquire one of the respawning purple spell books which can't be acquired, like the clock tower, unless you specifically place the book into the map. Really you can play Medivel Mode simply with the command that spawns books whenever you kill a player, although on second thought, the last point in Medivel Mode is hell as it is, when you add exploding spell thingers on a very tight area, the possibility of killing large amount of players in one shot, outside of their range is just going to make matters worse. I know several people who despise the Ullapool Caber simply because of the powerful 1-hit area of effect explosion and that's a close range weapon. Imagine a Scout with one of the common explosion spells, constantly throwing great balls of fire while your trying to cap the last point, it'll be more hell then it already is.
Speaking of DeGroot, I'd love to see an MVM-type gamemode where you defend the castle from waves of skeletons. I can't be the first person to say that, but it looks possible now.
