MAJOR TF2 update for 10/29/13 (Fifth Annual Scream Fortress) - Games

i'll admit, there are some items i'm glad are restricted (i'm looking at you bird heads) but seriously some sick stuff got added, like the pyro dragon costume and the haunted hat and the last bite and macrabe mask and others. a moment for mourning of the restricted but still cool hats and miscs lost today. Wait, so they added over 100 items... and they're all restricted? Wow.

On one hand, I'm glad some of these have restrictions. They're crazy, over the top, and obviously not meant to be used most of the year. But on the other hand, there's a good handful of these that can fit into the game without issue. Like the Rocket Ranger set soldier has. Goes perfect with the other sci-fi weapons and items, isn't too model breaking, and isn't distracting.

Goddamnit Valve, the one time I'm interested in items you restrict not only their wearability, but the period of time they can be bought! I'd love to buy one of these items and support those who made them, but I have no money and won't have any until after Halloween's over. Oh well, I guess the new voicelines will be good.

Hey, the Pyrovision alt of that one Spy cosmetic set got in. As completely separate, [i]halloween[/i] restricted items.

So finishing the map caused the server to crash. Even the game knows that hightower is never supposed to end.

The map is terribly optimized, i get like 200~ish fps on any other map, but this one makes me drop below 30

I mean, sweet jesus, there were /100/ items that are only going to be seen a few days of the year! So many are not going to be bought because of that. They're only hurting the ones making the items by doing so.
