Who knows if they don't? I'm pretty sure they looked at least once at the Emporium when the Kabuto was added into the game. But they should, there's lots of better ideas here.

Contribute site i don't think a valve member has visited FP.
I know Robin checked out the old Daimao Mod Emporium around a year ago, because I remember he commented that some of the hats were similar to those the TF2 team were working on (like the Pyro's brigade helmet).

Since the update, the game crashes whenever I try to change my engineer's weapons.
Anyway, the problem is fixed if I switch to english in steam settings.
