Valve is too cool to do this. They want the updates to be available to everybody, which is fair to everyone.
Better than available to nobody. I agree that having to pay for the updates is a shame, but if microsoft makes it obligatorily a paid dlc, then that's how it's going to have to be.
That's a lame ass excuse on Valve's part. If they do release it at a price: If you can't afford the update then don't buy it; exactly the same as not releasing it for you, improvement for those who can afford. If they don't release it because of price: If you can't afford the update you get nothing; if you can afford it you get nothing.

The last official mention of any class/other major updates (containing new items, maps, etc.) for the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2 was on April 2, 2009. There are two main reasons as to why the content has not been released. Firstly, due to reaching or coming close to reaching the memory limit that the Xbox 360 possesses. Secondly, due to the fees Microsoft have put in place for adding content to games, using Microsoft's very own Live on-line market store. These fees have been calculated and estimated to cost Valve over one hundred thousand dollars to update the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2, in the same manner and fashion that the PC version has received the class and patch updates. Therefore, some expect the updates and patches to be released for the Xbox 360 once Valve has finished and finalized all of the class updates, therefore allowing them to group all of the updates and patches in one large group and content update, though it seems highly unlikely. there is still a small following and it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. If your computer can't run TF2 smoothly than i think it's worth a look.
There's not many people, but once you get a few people on a server it fills up. I got put on a 2fort with 3 other people and after a couple minutes it was full.
100,000 for a dead/dieing 360 game, yea... no.
That's a lame ass excuse on Valve's part. -snip- Ninja stole mah bike!
I have it for PC and have racked up a lot of hours, but of recently I have barely touched a PC game this year and have swayed back towards playing a console. Simply because I missed relaxing on the couch with a controller in my hand, as apposed to hunched over a computer desk. Was just wondering if it had a decent following as I like the idea of being able to enjoy TF2 laid back on the couch.
I started playing TF2 on the Xbox 360... If not for the Orange Box I likely wouldn't be as big of a Valve fan as I am today. That said, I eventually migrated to the PC version, and I prefer it hands down. However, TF2 on the Xbox 360 is still popular and many people play it. It's basically just an early version of TF2 (without the updates). Despite not having any updates, the game is still very fun... I mean, it's TF2.
I'm tempted to get it on xbox since I love vanilla so much, but I dunno since I terrible with controllers :(
Controllers are easy.
Source
Ah! Didn't realise Valve were also required to pay such an extortionate fee for the update.
Maybe this is why Portal 2 is coming to the PS3? Anyways, I don't prefer the consoles for FPS's because of the controller for sniping.
I have it, but i don't play it due to lack of extra acheivements
Maybe this is why Portal 2 is coming to the PS3? Anyways, I don't prefer the consoles for FPS's because of the controller for sniping.
It's not that hard to snipe with a controller. "En pleine tête" means " Headshot " "Kills : 50" " Death : 8" And there's no autoaim in TF2, at all.
The problem is that most people on here are used to aiming with a mouse. It would take a while for them to get accustomed to aiming with an analoue stick, so many get frustrated and give up.
2) Everyone else is shit at it. I'm not joking, 70% are terrible compared to the PC version.
My friend wanted me to play it at his house because he "Wanted to prove he was better than me." He took it seriously, whereas I ran around 2fort knocking in some heads with the bat. I died maybe six times. People just aren't that good. Some people are friendly, strangely. I met this Pyro who only used his shotgun. I don't know why, but it was nice, because with my close range batting abilities, a Pyro would really mess me up. Only only started acting like a dick and whooping put his flamer whenever he was about to die, though.
