this thread is pathetic
The thread's purpose is for people to share their ideas of what an actual campaign should be like.
This thread came from another dimension, where Valve isn't so lazy and Gaben is thin. It's a beautiful world.
Just got a new rig. I can now play the Campaign on Ultra-Omega High.

Isn't that the 2fotblitz dev room? I thought that place was inaccessible as a spy.
For those who don't know, the dev room is a place ingame that supposed to be inaccessible, but as Soldier you can clip past through the Dustbowl 2 skybox with a few clever rocket jumps into it.

Do remember that the salesman at Tavish Desert can give you a teleport set, so you can put an exit anywhere for others to access.

Then you get to play the cold france-winter campaign.

I hated that part, at least you can get to Frosty Farms by doing that.

isn't that the alternate universe coldfront level with the ( forget how to make spoiler tags so ignoe the next sentance if you haven't gotten to that part.)
hidden valve tyrants helm that cancels fire and melee damage, and the combustible lemon launcher flaregun reskin that can only pick up ammo from trees and other combustible lemon launchers?

Nonono, I don't know what you're talking about, you get there AFTER you fight the Ox-King heavy and marry his medic daughter.

I accidentally pressed F12 during the Spy campaign, but I just couldn't delete this. Never managed to get a mid-cloak screenshot before.

Ah, is this the espionage campaign, where you have the murder the spy DOING the french-winter campaign?

Nah, it's the finale, where you have to [sp]sabotage the Announcer's plans to destroy BLU's facilities.[/sp]
Anyone tried the "Blutarch Heresy" campaign from preordering Space Marine?
I can't get past that [sp]Havynaught on Sand Valkyre[/sp], because I used up all my ammo fighting the [sp]Corrupt ScoutBoss Ork in the Barren Bitz[/sp], any help?
I was bored, so I decided to go into the spy campaign beta and take a screenshot of the [sp]Annoying sniper rescue mission[/sp] I keep talking about.

As you can see, there are plenty of pyros patrolling, but there's also civilian employees wandering around too. They'll run and sound an alarm if they spot you, and often call enemies over to your location if they spot you again during the alarm. The worst thing about them though is that since they're considered non-combatants, killing one will end the mission and make you start from the last checkpoint. Thankfully, they'll usually run before they get stuck in the middle of a firefight.
Just a heads up for anyone whose gonna play the mission when the campaign comes out. Since, well, [sp]It's a mandatory mission to continue the story.[/sp]

I found it pretty identical to the insomniac museum from the ratchet & clank series, it was cool though. This place is pretty hard to get to, though the crane they added to make the jump easier gave me a heads up there was going to be a secret there.
I love how they enabled some unaccesible roofs in viaduct and dustbowl for the campaigns, and the exclusive dev room commentaries explains why they didn't leave them open for multiplayer.

[sp]You should've put on the HUD to be honest.[/sp]
About that demoman dying thing a couple pages back, That song that should be playing should've been, Knocking on heavens door.

[sp]Yeah, I should've, but I'm crap at editing. I guess it could pass off as sort of a modification that removes the main HUD. Or something.[/sp]

Knocking on heavy's door; a duo from heavy & demo. Oh wait, same voice actor.
Gonna try and make a custom HUD for this. Not that great at the whole converting-to-vtf thing, but the default campaign HUD just made it feel like MP for me.

Shit, I screwed my HUD up. Great. Can someone upload the original?
also, screenshots of shits/giggles in the spy campaign

best kill
Looks like you screwed up some textures aswell from the look of that structure using HL2 textures in the last screenshot. Just delete the materials folder and relaunch TF2, it should be all back to normal.
Also, I love how soldiers in the spy campaign can die so easily if hit by a physics object. I even saw two soldiers die by walking into eachother.

I think their hitboxes are different in the campaign for some reason or something. I'm not good with that kinda thing. I did see a soldier walk in to a fence, teleport in to the air and die from fall damage. Not sure what happened there.

Y'know, playing with no HUD is pretty nice. I see why a lot of you guys do it.

If I save the first of the Mundy Bros, do I get my knife back or not? I lost my big earner on that one soldier in Hydro.

Actually, I am using the HUD, it's just that I hide it with a console command when taking screenshots because I feel it's a bit intrusive.

You only earn a few medkits if you save him. As a matter of fact later on [sp]When you head into the Mazdofiz Clinic to confront Rodriguez and his Cronies, Terry Mundy will be there as sort of a miniboss. He does drop some nice loot though, but damn he's though.[/sp]
And while you don't get anything for saving Perry Mundy, [sp]He later shows up to join your party halfway through the Mazdofiz Clinic. He's a really good fighter.[/sp]

gotta love that home feel
Stuck on a Thundermountain scout mission.
I'm on the mission where [sp]The engineer is planting a huge Thundermountain nest so large to prevent blu in ever succeeding in pushing the bomb, and scout's defending[/sp].
After being [sp]launched up by a soldiers rocket[/sp]I keep hitting the [sp]homing-demo grenades[/sp] away but I don't know when to hit before I fall and die. How do I prevent falling to my death?
To recap your memory, this scene (Sorry for low quality image):

Wow, the BLU spy campaign makes TF2 seem fucking brutal at some points.

I found a dead, butchered RED pyro in Freight, and then this (cutscene'd)

A RED spy dumping bodies in to the water supply.

RED prosthetics or something being tested on a dead body, either that or someone's insane.
[editline]9th September 2011[/editline]
Oh fuck, that part with the freight train to the farmlands too. Ugh ugh ghughughgh

Deus Specs are pretty good if you're good at setting up distractions and stuff. They let you sap alarms and disable stickybombs.
AI is terrible btw.
I just unlocked the 2th bonus mission, unlocking a "boss fight" that was supposed to be the end of the new spy campaign.
You get a sniper, engineer and spy to defeat heavy before he blow up 2fort, its really awesome.

Starting point, i recommend using dead ringer, since heavy has a minigun.

[sp]Use engineer's sentry to rocket-jump behind heavy, and build a teleporter.[/sp]
I didn't really like using party members as BLU Spy, but my party is now:
Spy
Ewan Dundy (Sniper), decided to arm him with sydney sleeper + smg + bushwacka
Lewie Dundy (Sniper), armed with stock sniper, jarate and bushwacka
about time those sniper weapons came in to use

Yeah, i spent most money on sentry upgrades, worked awesome to kill Heavy.
I just finished the RED Soldier campaign, I thought it was very dark for a TF2 campaign; however the music in the aftermath scene was great. I've uploaded it so you can have a listen.

I'll take some screenshots of the campaign later.
