Been using them as bait at junctions. place sentry on one side of a corridor/T junction, and stand opposite it, out of line of fire of course.
Enemy runs thru, shot by sentry, so they turn to that, you blast them with some justice

Wrangler is amazing, provided you know how to use it. Drop it, wrangle something, pick up gun, move elsewhere, rinse and repeat. Destroy sentry for free crits, and rape face.
Wrangler is the best item in the update.
As for the gunslinger, I know i'm late but you can make a lvl 3 mini sentry like this:
Build a normal sentry.Upgrade it to lvl3.Go back to the ressuply closet thingy, press M and change your wrench to the gunslinger.Go back, pick up the sentry and place it again.

Hah, I just got the Gunslinger. Funny how I got it by getting the "Get a picture of yourself and your sentrygun in a picture for your enemy." I was actually killed by my own sentry and I still got it. :v:
Great weapon, I use the mini sentries for getting to hard to reach places.

The way I see it, if you're going Gunslinger, you should almost invariably be using the Frontier Justice with it.

No, but it's worth ubering an ordinary engineer with the frontier justice if his sentry has 7 or more kills. Tell him to destroy it and you're an unstoppable force.
What i do is this
-Gunsling
-Shotgun (6 shot)
-Pistol
Lay a sentry near a 3 way area. A hallway/door that leads to the side of another hallway where you and your sentry can be opposite sides of the door.
Put the mini sent just in range of the door and go on the other side out of view when going through the door.
When enemy comes in, due to beeping they will face the sentry. Walk up and kick some ass. IF they run, use the pistol.
Great for the enemy sniper decks near the vents on ctf_turbine.
As I seen it. This update does just what valve wanted and gave the engi the ability to move from being a camper. The FJ provides good evac if your sentry is destroyed, the Wrangler is great for anti sniper, and the gunslinger is awesome for battle engi/ninjineering.
I like to set up the Gunslinger Sentry on a ledge overlooking a key area, such as a control point or a ramp area on payload then run in with the Wrangler and while they're distracted with me, my sentry lets loose on 'em.
