Bullshit, he's denying it now but he was predicting the exact time of each drop (2-3 mins off) in an irc channel yesterday.

Agreed, I can understand doing something like disabling/deleting the addon, but trashing the registry and installed games irrevocably until the registry is fixed (as sometimes new installs don't fix registry problems) is just despicable. I never use his addons, simply because after this I believe he just can't be trusted.

In any case, allot of the golden wrench people have become hated, many making there accounts private to stop hate spam. I think hacking someone's account is taking it way to far. Especially someone who just got it out of luck. Would be better suited to the other guys who were accurately predicting the drop times even before the wrenches where out somehow, but even then it's still uncalled for.
Having said that, what did Valve expect making there names and profiles public like that.

The people who have got it through mashing the stats and what seems to be basically exploiting (e.g. drunken fool got the wrench with 1 craft, and so did 4 of his friends). These are the people who make me rage, the rest can keep their wrenches if they got it fair and square.

Personally I'm afraid to get the wrench now. Even if my password was built using diceware and has more than 12 characters I'm afraid that a lot of people would try to crack it over the years and someone might actually get it.
