This is a really good idea.
Do you want to say anything to Valve? "Give me an Episode 3 beta"
Think that'll do nicely.
I just wrote "hi valve optimisation pls"
That is why all the best Soldiers in the game use it. Oh wait... There's 3 things the DH is good at: - 1-shotting 125HP classes - Airshots - Killing bad players Out of the 125HP classes, the only one that should be in a direct fight is the Scout, and a good Scout will kill you before you've killed him with it most of the time. Airshots with the DH are piss-easy if you can get airshots with the regular launcher, far too easy for the effect it has. Versus good players the Rocket Launcher is infinitely better.
Don't forget sentries
Don't forget the Direct Hit is also pretty good to hit the pyro that just jumped in your face without exploding yourself.
The Direct Hit is useful when used as a shotgun. 1 shotting stuff is cool. But I would never give up the original RL.
It`s not the vintage system that is wrong, it`s the community that`s being elitist.
It's human nature. Valve should've forseen that this would happen.
It was pretty good, hopefully VALVe really does see it
Hopefully they see it and actually do something about it.
I didnt write any custom answers :smith:
Downgrade is something like Claidheaomor, LoL is a piece of shit.
Claidheaomor is a very good sword sidegrade.
I just want to see the Sydney Sleeper be useful again :frown:
If they removed vintage status the Trading Community would be 40x better
I think it's fine. It's about the same difference between the Direct Hit and rocket launcher, really, and I've been doing great with it as an offensive weapon.
GUESS WHAT rockets fly is a straight line. and STILL explodes on any surface. the rollers arc and WONT explode on some surfaces. i don't know what you're smoking bro. it's obvious.
I would also love to see some taunts fitted in I HATE using the Eyelander for the look alone. I feel like I have to take it because they actually have a taunt on it while the UHHH or Claidhemmor didn't even bother to fit one in. [editline]3rd January 2011[/editline]
If they removed vintage status the Trading Community would be 40x better
I completely disagree The community would be at outrage and probably fall apart in an hour
And then get over it
I completely disagree The community would be at outrage and probably fall apart in an hour
Like they did over halos, oh wait
I would also love to see some taunts fitted in I HATE using the Eyelander for the look alone. [editline]3rd January 2011[/editline] People who traded loads to get vintages would slit their wrists but do we really need them anyway? I completely disagree The community would be at outrage and probably fall apart in an hour

[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/srrery.PNG[/img_thumb] I had to, I'm sure everyone agrees.
I could disagree any harder, I love it. Why? They've managed to piss of such a huge amount of people just by changing the names of some items. It's brilliant.
I don't. I don't see how you could "hate" it, it turns the item name blue and adds "vintage" to the title. I mean, fucking really, could you bitch a little bit more? No, don't complain about unbalanced weapons, no LODs, the crates, or anything of that nature, complain about the name of some items. It doesn't even make the item valuable, players give those items value, they have no inherent worth unless someone gives it worth. God damn.
Pretty much this.
is valve trying to accomplish a genocide only with tf2 players and through rage?
I think the lowest FPS I got was in the high 20s, so I put 20-29, it was in medieval, third-person, RED spawn, 1920x1080 and near highest settings. I think it might have been because I had Firefox opened with a bunch of tabs though. It was also -windowed -noborder which I'm pretty sure affects performance negatively. I once lowered my resolution to 720p and my FPS went up to 100+ all the time. [editline]3rd January 2011[/editline]
is valve trying to accomplish a genocide only with tf2 players and through rage?
What's your point?
Idiots pay more for blue text than for yellow text. You can normally get 2 yellow texts for the price of 1 blue text. Crafting is completely useless. "hurp durp it's non-vintage ill buy/sell for 1 refined"
So all you care about when crafting hats is to trade them later? Your fault, doesn't make it "useless", who gives a fuck what text colour your virtual cosmetic item is anyway. There's no reason to whine about that. Craft dupes together. That's already better than getting one refined for one, since a random hat costs three refined and crafting two together would mean that each one of them is "worth" 1.5. And if you trade with people who refuse non-vintage hats, well, find better people to trade with. You also say "idiots" care about vintage, and if that makes crafting useless it implies that all TF2 players are idiots. I also fail to see how vintage hats make the entire crafting system useless.
I liked that it was short. I hate having to fill out 4 pages of bullshit.
Survey doesn't load for me.
Just did the survey. I love the TF2 community.
The Cleidheim (can't spell it) was quite a disappointment, I have not once had any use for it's lengthened charge. My recommended buff would be to make it work like the Eyelander turning exploit used to. As in, it can make crazy turns, and it will do this by default and not just when you use the turnright and turnleft commands. The Loch and Load's most nonsensical and terrible downside is the fact that the grenades disappear if they miss an enemy. I think the most logical and most balanced fix would be to make the grenades explode on impact with both enemies and the ground. The Jag is fine in my opinion, the only thing it would plausibly need as a buff would be slightly faster build time so it's as fast as a mini-sentry when you swing at it. I currently love using it as an alternative to the Gunslinger as a Battle Engineer :3: The Ullapool Caber is absolutely fine, it's better than fine, it's fucking awesome. It's fun to use, and in my opinion is is completely balanced. The only thing that MAYBE should be nerfed is how you don't receive any damage from it with the Sticky Jumper, but then again you are already more vulnerable with this weapon equipped. Pretty balanced IMO. Fists of Steel, feels like they're a bit too powerful. Perhaps a slowdown when wielding them would be balanced and justified by their weight. Boston Basher, balanced by being a high risk high reward melee. It is also fucking hilarious. Candy Cane... haven't seen it in action all that much. Amputator, needs a downside. It's indisputably a plain upgrade from the bonesaw, it's the bonesaw but with an upside and no downside. If it doesn't get a downside, then perhaps the default should just have it's damage buffed. Crossbow, terribly unfitting Medic's personality and shooting arrows at your allies looks retarded. However I do admit that it is in fact a rather useful sidegrade. Steak, doesn't fit Heavy, but it doesn't seem that bad in terms of balance. Warrior's spirit, same as above. Brass beast, feels too powerful. Don't know if it's just me, or if it's actually too powerful. Backscratcher, I don't like it. Don't know what I feel about it simply because I never use it.

"hurp durp it's non-vintage ill buy/sell for 1 refined"
That's because there won't be any more items with blue text anymore. It's like with random levels, but more visible. If I remember the stats correctly, we got a mix of 1:4 between Vintage and Non-Vintage, Vintage being in the majority. That's a high number considering the NV-hats are only obtainable since end of September and I bet it's because of the crates. I have no doubt the amount of NV hats will continue to increase and soon the market will be dominated with NV hats, so finding someone who trades with V hats will become as common as meeting somebody who trades with Unusuals. But that's just my prediction.
That's because there won't be any more items with blue text anymore.
It`s still text. Even if it`s limited.

But that's just my prediction.
That was the entire idea behind Vintage hats: That they would be more valuable because they would belong to an older generation that no longer produced hats. Thus, they would be rarer and more valuable. Unfortunately, Valve didn't consider the fact that there was no non-vintage market as of yet. As such, it took time for it to build and, as you said, was smaller and rarer than the vintage market. From what I've been told and what I can tell, the Vintage market SHOULD have been the lower end in value, considering it's higher supply. With time, the non-vintage hat market will over take the vintage one, but it would take a pretty good amount of time and, I'd imagine, a growing population in order to make it happen before the game itself died completely.
Finished the survey, it was pretty good.
