jerkski
My suggestion to Valve was to stop giving the Demoman melee weapons.
My suggestion was "add my killicons ;)"

There an issue with an interdimensional extraterrestrial that happens to enjoy slowly sucking the life out of a nearly-mute pyromaniac through his gasmask?

It was the starting point to the rape of TF2's artstyle :(
I added a shoutout to the Facepunch forums, and my other forums as well.

My callout was to Neo to finish the Dynomighty's kill icon so valve can add more Demoman Melee weapons,
I'll do at least two more Demoman melee weapons in due time.

Claidhaemh hor, I think. I haven't played TF2 much since I was given Borderlands for Christmas, so I may as well check now. 2Fort or Payload awaits!
Regarding the rest of the items you discussed, I agree with most of it. The Candy Cane is actually quite useful. So long as you keep your distance from Soldiers, it's actually very handy. Since Scout has low health, the small health kit is enough to bump his health from 100 back to it's full. Quite useful.
The Backscratcher is useful because of it's added damage and the health kit buff, and is good for most Pyroes who don't pair with medics to attack sentries and such.
The Brass Beast.. pretty tough one. If it has a damage buff, again, I'm not sure after little play, then it's probably balanced. Still, it is the main downside to Heavy's item set. People often use it to complete the set, but it just doesn't work with the Fists of Steel. Your smart heavy's strategy is to run in with the Fists, then pull out your minigun and quickly rev up and kill when the enemy pulls out their melee weapon. See, the Brass Beast has a longer spinup time and a slower movement speed, so you just don't have the time to shoot before they're already attacking you. It also gives the heavy a huge downside in Heavy vs Heavy fights. It's like the Mackerel, the weapon itself is the downside to the set. The mackerel has a subtly smaller hitbox (I think that's the proper word here) which makes it quite harder to hit an enemy. I find it much easier to use the Bat to get hits. Oh, and don't forget the silly hat. That's another downside.
Sorry if that's kinda poorly structured, it's 3am and I'm off to shoot some Demomen. Smug bastards.
Some of the questions are horribly biased: "Do you hate x?" should be "What is your opinion on x?"
Useful survey.
i submit mine
the loch-n-load is beautiful weapon and i hope people arent just voting it down cause of broken anims
I voted against it along with some others as it is the most broken not the worse of the items. Along with that awfully textured candy cane and the crossbow of a thousand bugs.
I voted down everything with bugs.
good survey but one question, why was there no questions about hats specifically? i'm sure the community has alot to say about them...
My callout was to Neo to finish the Dynomighty's kill icon so valve can add more Demoman Melee weapons,
I want to fucking murder you.
With a rake.
Valve should balance the game for better performance and FINALLY RELEASE THE 3 MEET THE TEAM VIDEOS ALREADY
There was a lot of laziness the recent updates. I mean look at the hibernating bear pack, what the fuck? Nothing from it fits TF2 and none of them compliment each other. If you look at the combined effects you get - less health, more vulnerable to damage and less mobile but you do more damage, you're basically a damage dealing cripple. They just threw random shit together and called it a pack.
More hats are needed to subdue my lust for them.
Submitted my survey
Some quick points I tried to make in it; Crates and keys altogether are fine they way they are sold. It's just to get money out of the game, that is well deserved, given all the updates. It's also an option, you don't have to buy anything.
Also I think that TF2 is turning more into a one big children's birthday party, rather than being a badass, mature online mayhem game with some humorous aspects to it through the hats and the slight customization, if it only weren't so distinguish these days.. you know the crazy hat persons.
All classes should have an equal amount of different playstyles to them through an equal amount of fair-trade weapons that look and feel badass and appealing to use, rather than just being an outright upgrade, or just more damn crazy..

you completely mistook it but ok
good survey but one question, why was there no questions about hats specifically? i'm sure the community has alot to say about them...
Especially set hats.
That was the entire idea behind Vintage hats: *snip*
I don't share that point of view and I especially don't get what you mean by "That they [vintage hats] would be more valuable because they would belong to an older generation that no longer produced hats" because clearly those "old" hats are still dropping everywhere and can even be gained from crates, so they are still produced.
My thought was the Vintage aspect was both supposed to say "I got this hat fair and square, without using crates, without using the store, I am part of the supreme gentlemanne masterrace" (If that sounds strange to you talk to the people thinking any Sniper wearing a Gibus (and a Bronze medal) is a complete and utter noob. This hat-elitism has been in the system all the time imo) and it was also supposed to split the community by join date.
That last thought may seem strange, but it's not the first time Valve did this. It's the same with the 119th Update medals and it's actually very clever of Valve. They keep rewarding old-timers, right? First with medals of increasing value the longer your joindate was ago, now the Vintages.
If my thoughts are correct, this all is established to keep people playing the game. New players may be attracted to TF2 during big updates and when there are special sales, but while for them everything is new and exciting, for the old-timers not that many things change and from what I've gathered, the more time people have spent with TF2, the greater the wish that TF2 wouldn't undergo so drastic changes in artstyle for example (in general, in my opinion, blabla).
With these rewards that effect exactly those people from the old parts of the fanbase Valve tries to keep them playing. The medals are just an optical thing and of course you can brag about it or get some envious looks, Vintage hats actually give you a certain trade power because they're limited and this limitation quite obviously works for the market.
Maybe I just read too much into it, but I can't help but see a pattern. I sure as hell would trust Valve with that sorta plan.
If anything I always thought the Medic's crossbow should launch different-looking arrows (like darts) in medieval mode and big syringes in other modes

So if I understood right, they're keeping us first-timers by throwing more "valuable" items (vintage / gold medals) at us?
that's evil and a good idea
Vintage status should dissapear if it`s traded.
VALVE, ADD NEW SOUNDS ALREADY. I'm tired of every friggin melee weapon sounding the same. The brass beast was an improvement, do more of that, I don't care if you're re-recycling them from your other games or not.
Vintage status should dissapear if it`s traded.
All untraded Vintage hats should become Vintage Vintage hats so I can have a Vintage Vintage Vintage Merryweather.
valve will probably do something where if you traded it, it will lose its vintage status
Custom Answer:
Thank you VALVe for adding even more retarded cosmetic items that 12 year olds and nerds can spam about having or wanting to trade in the game!!!

Hats are fine.. except there are too many of them looking ridiculous.
If hats were only relative to the whole mercenaries killing mercenaries with hats on their heads that only looks badass rather than crazy or silly, it would be fucking awesome. Then add kids who demand more stupid hats even at the cost of money, and you got the current state of TF2.
I actually like the loch n load, it rewards skilled players greatly, if you were used to spamming random nades on the ground and praying that you get a random lucky critical hit for any easy kill you'd probably get left in the dust with it, but if your used to hitting people directly without a miss you can turn out to be a monster with it.
