The Equalizer: If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can ever imagine.
Flaregun while approaching + Compression Blast + Jump and slash Axtinguisher = <3
Dead Ringer. Hands down.
Scout: Rarely FaN Pyro: Flaregun Soldier: Direct Hit and Equilizer Demo: Scottish Resistance or shield/sword Heavy: SANDVICH Medic: Lvl 100 Ubersaw Sniper: Rifle/Lucksman Spy: DR
Cloak and dagger. It's totally an upgrade for me.
Blutsauger, Ubersaw Jarate, Huntsman Deadringer Scottish Resistance when I'm on any CTF map (and on defense) Occasionally the FaN when I feel like a dick [editline]03:22PM[/editline]
-Flaregun: Often neglected, but it's good to scare Snipers into cover. The minicrits on burning players killed people fleeing from me so many times...
Shotgun is far better for that
My top 3 unlocks thus far are as follows: 1. Bonk! Atomic punch. Under rated, and DEFINITELY under appreciated. Bitches don't know about my Bonk! 2. Axtinguisher. Coupled with the compression blast and you have a lovely weapon that definitely makes my Pyro game more than W+M1. 3. Force-A-Nature. I love it just as much for the triple-jump as I do the knock-back. Honorable mentions include: The Ubersaw, for being the first clear upgrade since the Equalizer. The Cloak and Dagger, though I prefer the original watch, some maps it just doesn't work... That's when you use the CnD in my book. Finally, The Sandman, Though nerfed to hell, it made Scouts much more of a team player. But until it becomes a bit more balanced both on the user and victim levels, it's just another Bonesaw. =( Edit: *Sniff* I don't Box you for YOUR opinions. ;_;
I'd have to say the Blut is pretty useful. The Equalizer is one of my favorites just because of how fun it is to blast yourself to near-death just so you can charge across the map as fast as a Scout (okay probably slower but still).
Direct Hit. I LOVE IT. EVERY TIME I GET A MINI CRIT IT GIVES ME AN ADRENALINE RUSH. :supaburn:
I actually don't use too many unlocks, most of them remove something I need or are just shit in general (FaN, sandman and Bonk! all live up to that, the Scout update sucked). Medic: I will usually be using the Blutsauger and Ubersaw, I don't really like the Kritzkrieg as most idiots treat it like a Uber anyway. Heavy: Depends, I rarely use anything but the sandvich, I might run around with the K.G.B, but only if I know I can get that second or third punch out. Pyro: Flaregun, I gave up with the Axetinguisher, I'll just shotgun/ flaregun people down most times if they try and run to/ from me. No point rushing to hit them while they are on fire just to miss. Scout: None, unless I need to travel quickly, then I will use the FaN (forgive me), just for the FaNjumping and the extra jump to reach higher places. Spy: C&D as I prefer to do recon and watch who is going where, but I rarely play spy, so eh. Sniper: Huntsman and Jarate most of the time, putting people out is useful, and I can't stand being a conventional Sniper as you rarely contribute to the teams goals. Soldier: I only have the equalizer, but it works good. Demoman: I have the Scottish Resistance, but I don't use it much, don't want to be another stickywhore after all :clint: Most of my choices are very situational mind you, but these are my average loadouts.
airblast Okay, that's not really an unlockable weapon. But that was the funniest thing they have added to TF2 (gameplay-wise, cause new domination lines are funnier).
Using the Force a Nature, I remembered how much fun I had kicking ass and not giving shit about names.
Dead Ringer. Scout: I sometimes use FaN, but most of the time the standart items. Soldier: Right now I have all the unlocks(Direct Hit, Buff Banner and Equalizer) in slots and I'm trying if I can use them properly. Gunboats aren't really for me though. Pyro: Axetinguisher seems okay, but I rarely play this class. Demoman: Don't play this class at all, but now I like to mess around with the melee kit sometimes. Heavy: Default items. Works best for me. Medic: Blutsauger and Ubersaw. Sniper: Jarate, interesting concept that works often. But then again, I rarely play Sniper. Spy: Dead Ringer, it's fun to play with it. As for Ambassador, I use it at moment but in the past I switched back to Revolver, still deciding what's the best option.
1. Bonk! Atomic punch. Under rated, and DEFINITELY under appreciated. Bitches don't know about my Bonk!
I agree completely. It was only yesterday when I truly put the bonk to good use, for myself. Pyro lights you on fire, you kick his ass, take bonk to avoid burn damage until you get to a Medic/medkit/dispenser/locker.
Axtinguisher. Its the best defense against charging demos.
Equalizer. I always disliked how slow the Soldier was.
i use eyelander and scottish resistance for demo improves my defense while giving me a better melee weapon and a chance at higher health.
I hate all the new demo unlocks, eyelander/targe is fun but useless. however i LOVE the soldier unlocks, use mostly DH, gunboats, and the equalizer ofcourse.
Eyelander + Targe I don't play seriously with it, it's just so much fun to charge into the fray, miss and die a second later.
Cnd, it's so awesome to make engies so paranoid by calling him a spy in his own voice :allears: Also the ambassador on some occasions..
Axtinguisher. The Axeassin's favorite weapon.
My favorite unlockable is definitely the backburner. Yeah, everybody likes callit a n00b weapon, but it's very satisfying to sneak up on a Spy and giving him some pay"back". Get it? pay"back"? "Back" stab? "Back"burner?... ... SHUT UP!
Nah, it is officially a noob weapon.
Really? What makes it a noob weapon? Tell me.
really? What makes it a noob weapon? Tell me.
w + m1
w + m1
Er, what? Sorry, I'm not fluent in this leet speak or however you kids speak these days. You're gonna have to break it down for me. Nvm I figured it out. Forward and Mouse 1.
Axetuinguisher. Nothing is more satisfying.
P. much. You absolutely cannot beat the feeling of puff and stinging an overhealed heavy twice. [editline]10:27PM[/editline]
Really? What makes it a noob weapon? Tell me.
It has zero application versus good players. Listen, tbh, forget all that ambush everyone shit playing as pyro if you ever wanna be good. Since you can't ambush people and get behind them any more (everyone knows the maps too well now) the backburner is useless, and you also lose your ONLY way to face workhorse classes (demo, soldier, some snipers) head on, via airblast.
Nvm I figured it out. Forward and Mouse 1.
Indeed, it's all you have do to get points, it's kind of ridiculous, it had good intentions but most players just hold W and M1. Also since you lost your airblast and are able to get crits from behind only betters the situation. W + M1 players don't usually use air blast and since you're holding it more you have a higher change of hitting their backs. :argh:
I'm a big fan of the C&D (well balanced, different but still spy-related playstyle) and the Targe (never really liked the sticky launcher, pipe bombs FTW). Equalizer is kinda OP, since if you attack with it at full health, you become harder and harder to kill as enemies try to back away, until... BAM! Pick to the skull.
Equalizer because the normal shovel is complete shit anyway.
