Thats for using the idler program.
I used the unlocker back in February and I never lost anything, that system didn't work as well as the idler one.

if valve even does anything about unlockers this time around (improbable) then who gives a fuck? it's just a few weapons in a game, it's not the end of the world. I'm tired of waiting for a random drop to give me weapons. What valve needs to realize is that some people don't play TF2 nonstop. Some of us just like to reinstall, goof around with the new weapons for a while, then uninstall again. Being forced to wait for the unlocks to appear doesn't excite me at all.
If they do do anything, they better not touch my legit earned items or else I'm going to be pissed.
Valve probably won't put out punishments because of the fact that so many people are doing it, and thus they could piss off a big percentage of their customers/fanbase in the process.
They should really be removing those illegit-earned items, though.
They won't do anything. I've been using it for all the packs, just because 1) I'm not very good at the game and almost never get achievements. 2) Don't want to farm to get them. 3) Don't have as much time as I'd like to spend on the game anymore.
Besides, even if they wanted to do something, how could they determine what to take away, now that they've added crafting? If we crafted the weapons we got by using this for some reason, they couldn't detect which item to take away.
I don't see why it would be worth it to them to bother anyway. It'd be a waste of money.

Valve aren't exactly pro at catching people out anyway. My friend idled and used the Achievement unlocker and he still has his weapons and a Halo!
Tbh, i don't see the different between this and an achievement server. This is just like an hour quicker. If Valve gave a shit they'd force drops / achievements to be earned only in official maps. They just like harshing on peoples fun because the retarded half of the community can't unlock their weapons as fast.

I got all my achievements by playing the game fair and square, and guess what, it's not that hard at all.

Valve took action against idlers who used a 3rd party program. They didn't take action against 3rd party programs on it's own.
I only ever used the achievement unlocker to wipe my achievements, because I started replaying TF2.
