Fortunately it's not really noticable when playing with looking for it, but neither was the wrongly team-coloured viewmodels, so I believe a fix is in order!
(especially as it worked just fine until a few months ago)

LOD - Level Of Detail
The more far away the objects are, the less detailed will be
LOD stands for Level of Detail. What this means is that the game should have multiple versions of a model, whereby as you move further away from that model, the game should exchange it for one of the lower detail versions, thus allowing you to save on performance because as you increase the distance from the object, detail becomes hard to make out anyway.
This is the new Direct Hit LOD - make note of the amount of polygons to the right;
