• Tips on how to get better as Spy and Sniper?

Spy: You need to SPY. Sniper: You need to SNIPE. You'd think this would be self explanatory.
Sniper: 1-Equip the huntsman. 2-Shoot arrows. 3-??? 4-PROFIT.

I don't play as sniper very often, so here's some advice from my time as spy. -Stay away from your teammates unless you need help taking a guy down. Even if you're invisible, you might get an arrow to the face that was intended for the guy next to you. -Try to stick to wide, open areas. This'll give you some room to maneuver and escape if things turn sour. -If you're using the Dead Ringer or the normal watch, know where your ammo caches are. They can save you. -Leeching on an enemy engie's dispenser is a good way to get some cloak back in a pinch. Just don't stick around too long, just take what you need to keep moving and go. -Remember you can take enemy teleporters. If you see a sentry nest that your team can't crack and the engie is facing away from the teleporter, try taking it. If you're lucky, you might even telefrag him. -One of easiest and safest ways to score a backstab is to wait until your target is distracted. This is especially useful when a large group is distracted by your team, leaving them wide open to some punishment. -Cloak and Dagger may seem like a good choice to score some easy backstabs, but your mobility is severely limited. -Have an escape plan at all times. Getting the drop on that guy who's been dominating you is good. Getting out of that unscathed is even better. -Rely on your cloak more than your disguise. Your disguise will keep immediate suspicion off you, but you're likely to be detected very quickly if you're not cloaked. -Take the least traveled paths. This will cut down the chances of bumping into, say, a pyro. -Finally, don't get discouraged. You can't always know what's around the corner; a pyro, a sentry, or nothing, what's important is is that you're ready for anything.

For Spy, use cloak and dagger, and survey the battlefield. The Spy is all about picking the right moment to strike, or simply slink away invisibly. The C&D facilitates this type of strategic gameplay.
You should keep playing Sniper and Spy even though you already have 3+ on your team and are losing.
I recommend you take the Spy, especially if there's a team limit allowing only one Spy. Then you go Battle Spy.
Put your sensitivity super low and use the revolver a lot.
Someone asks an honest question, people don't say anything constructive. At least Suttles put some effort into it, but now I think it's time to hear some actual advice. Put 60+ hours into them It won't make you good but it'll make you better
One thing to remember is that if you go to the friendly disguise menu and disguise as a friendly spy, it instantly drops whatever disguise you have without you having to attack. Useful for when you want to undisguise without revealing your presence, even though there's almost no situations where you would do it.
So, people still think that if you wear an unusual as a sniper, you're fucked huh ? Allow me that you're the one who's fucked if you meet this guy.

Aim at the head as a sniper Aim at the back as a spy Just kidding, but the best tips you learn are learnt by yourself and your own mistakes over time.
Disguise as a enemy medic and try to act like the role you are disguised as, and when you backstab someone else like a sniper, disguise as him. And if you ever see some sniper with a razorback just shoot him with your revolver. And keep the fuck away from pyros.
Play sniper on mario_kart. Seriously the wide open areas really help. The side areas teach you good hiding places. Then start moving to more natural, restricted maps and you'll get better. Also it's hilarious to fuck with engineers on that map.
tr_walkway seriously doesn't do shit for both of them. get a gaming mouse, get higher sensitivity, and play the class. the sniper is entirely based off your aim. shooting bots isn't going to do shit, and their hit boxes are wrong as well. for spy, watch watsyurdeal's tutorials.

Sniper: Never stand still for long. Never stay scoped in for too long. Pay attention to your surroundings. Listen for spies and their cloaks. Train your arm's memory reflex so you can quick shot and not stay scoped in. Spy: Try not to engage groups of two or more. Almost never go for observant or paranoid players. Try and attack people from unexpected angles like from above. Stab, THEN sap engineers. Try and out maneuver your opponent by learning shortcuts in the maps. I main spy so I have more tips for him. v:v:v

I dunno, I guess you can hate me if you want but mario_kart is actually a fun alternative from the standard maps every once in a while because of all the shit that happens when you dominate someone. In my eyes, that is.
The only tip in sniper : play, again and again. It's just training, you don't need tips (or the tips are obvious. Oh yeah don't stay on the same place too long) Even if you're new in the FPS, it's not very difficult to find this kind of tips on your own. I presume.
I recommend you use the SMG and go Battle Sniper, because that works.
Trophy belt, huntsman, smg and tribalman's shiv truly a badass sniper combo.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like the huntsman. Why give the sniper a combat role when there are other combat classes which are so much better. Whatever, lol
