Spy. Just watch a OMFGNinja video or something.
Sniper. TR_Walkway. Thats bassiclly what I did to play good at those classes
As a Sniper, do you turn on or off that "automatic rescope" setting?
As a Sniper, do you turn on or off that "automatic rescope" setting?
Off. If you need to rescope, just do it manually.
As a Sniper, do you turn on or off that "automatic rescope" setting?
Off too, after making a headshot (-150) to a high HP class, you might want to make a quick no scope, or to pull out the smg just after in order to finish the fight.
Also,
Sniper :
- don't rely much on bodyshots, you shouldn't charge your shots, just do quick -150hp headshots, feel free to finish the target with a noscope, bodyshot, smg... You'll never learn of you only bodyshot.
- feel free to bodyshot a medic if you don't feel like you're going to headshot him, and to charge a bit to kill unaware overhealed targets
- very important : before scoping on an enemy head, set the crosshair on him, that will make the thing much more easier
- if you have trouble to aim while scoped, lower your sensivity, or use zoom_sensivity_ratio
- practice sniper duels on 2fort, without charging your shots, just strafe on the deck (yes that's a good way to learn)
- against a sniper, try not to be the first to scope, unless you feel like you're going to suceed
- against a sniper, you can fake scope (scope without shooting then strafe again) in order to make him scope first and be an easier target
- if a sniper just charge his shots behind a wall and try to kill you this way, just wait for him to decal
- use walls for cover
- this might just not be your class, but after practice you can get very good
May do spy tips, dunno if it helps.
i remember when i smoked a huge bong hit and went to cp_orange as a sniper
i dominated 5 ppl in a row
-snip- too mean imo

Just my opinion.
Equip the huntsman.
You literally cannot fuck up with it.
I hate how I miss every shot, and then I'll switch classes, and then an enemy sniper will do some bullshit headshot through a crack in a window while I'm rocketjumping.
Equip the huntsman.

Not true, you need to be slightly good to use it. I've seen Snipers that suck so much they missed me multiple times with the Huntsman while I stood perfectly still for over a minute.
I was the substitute spy for the Winter Wasteland thing, and I assure you that learning how to use your revolver is extremely important. The revolver is the most underrated weapon in the game. It is extremely powerful. Also, if you can get headshots in, you can use ambassador. That thing is a damned beast.
Also, as for everything else the spy has, it is all situation based. The cloaks depend on map and how teams are done. Knifes depend on your ability to remain unseen, or play style... Or your preferred method of taking out an engy. Spy set is best utilized when the other team has good hearing (because all the cloaks, all of them, make noise).
I myself prefer to roll invis watch/dead ringer (invis if you want to get behind better, dead ringer if you are more battle oriented), with either knife depending on the situation (if there is a sentry, i try the YER first, then use disguises), and revolver. I am working on ambassador since it is so damn useful though.
If there's a sentry, I always roll with the vanilla knife. If I'm using the YER, I have to find a disguise first to reliably take out the sentry (excluding fancy tricks like hiding behind dispensers).
As a spy, try to use disguises that would place you behind the other team, such as medic, sniper, engineer, etc.
The Ambassador is one of the best weapons you could use as a Spy, if you actually have good aim it'll drop a Sniper in two shots.

Revolver is better.
Aim and shoot usually does the trick.
Practice makes perfect

A headshot and then a bodyshot kills any of the lower health classes. Anything weaker than a Pyro, I believe. Provided they don't have a Medic healing them, of course.
Revolver is better.
I have to agree on this one. Unless you've really defined your skills to the max where you can shoot off a headshot with every hit, the Revolver is better.
I have to agree on this one. Unless you've really defined your skills to the max where you can shoot off a headshot with every hit, the Revolver is better.
Well I have "defined my skills to the max" so I prefer Ambassador.
Well, for sniper, ya need to find somewhere that works. A good sniper spot is essential. But don't stay in that one place for too long. Then you be easy prey. Make sure you watch out for spies and other snipers. Try not to be in the open or on the front lines unless you've got the right weapons for those situations equipped.

The most common excuse for not using the revolver. Medics with blutsauger use the same argument, just worded differently.

So you mean it's just a coincidence that I always am getting perfect headshots?! Oh no, I even fooled myself!

People are good with certain weapons and bad with others. Fuck off if you think the revolver>ambassador, because that's your opinion.

No need to get your panties in a twist, I'm just saying that far too many people reject the revolver without even trying it. The revolver is more powerful and reliable than the ambassador, since it has a much larger damage output. The ambassador is situational, because there is a cooldown before the user can headshot someone again. The ambassador is ideal for 125 HP classes, if your aim is good, since you just need a headshot and a bodyshot to take someone out. But, it's easier and far more reliable in battle if you use the revolver instead.

No, I mean you should try out the revolver, because I seriously doubt you have 100% perfect aim.

About the only time the Ambassador is actually better is when you're behind a lone, scoped-in Sniper who has a Razorback equipped. Then, as I said earlier, you can two-shot him with a headshot and a bodyshot.
You guys have convinced me that the Revolver is better than the Ambassador in almost any situation, though.

You can just shoot him three times with the revolver. Takes 0.3 seconds longer, and you don't give up your revolver.
However, the ambassador is useful when priorotising medics being protected by teammates.

No, you're right. I know I don't have 100% accuracy but if I'm ever caught as a Spy I'm killed straight away anyway (like 1 sec after being seen), and I usually get headshots so I go with the Ambassador.
