If you sold Elis cap for 1 refined you can be proud. Because in many cases 1 refined can be = a Napper hat , Sombrero Hat , Protector , Sober (sometimes) , a Hatless and other bad hat.
Still If you think stupid is selling Elis cap for 1 refined you are in mistake. That's good deal but you can try get better... for instance: UHHH axe.

I have encountered an individual whom I believe has been scamming and continues to scam other players in Team Fortress 2.
I was in a normal 2fort server and posted that I was selling my Safe N' Sound, as I was. I get a trade offer from this person:

He then proceeds to try and convince me that the Alien Swarm hat is a discontinued hat that is extremely rare and there are no more that can be obtained. I show him my rebuttal, telling him that he is incorrect and that the Alien Swarm hat may be obtained via an achievement on Alien Swarm, a free game.
He argues saying that the hat is not tradable and people cannot get them anymore.
I once more argue, still staying somewhat polite, that he is incorrect.
He then forgets the Swarm/Gibbus idea and places a vintage Hatless Scout on his offer. I politely decline it. He then puts a vintage Sniper Hat (can't remember the name). I politely decline.
He then asks if I want weapons, and once more I decline, saying I'm only interested in hats at this point. He tells me that I don't have a lot of weapons and that I surely needed one.
I ask him how he knows what's in my backpack.
