It still doesn't get held properly in my hands, what the fuck. Can someone here who has made a tf2 melee weapon add me? I'm using blender and need help with fixing bones.
Also the skin for it it atrocious, i know. It's too shiny because i just copied the VMT for another melee weapon. How do i make the wood less shiny?

Blender 2.56 and yes. The weapon_bone is there and i checked the SMD and it's there too, but ingame it isn't held properly. Maybe i didn't parent it properly or something? It wold be nice to see a blender rigging tutorial.

Have you:
1) Selected the model in object mode,
selected the bone as well. ( but afterwards )
2) Ctrl + P and parent to empty groups
3) gone into "Object Data" ( The triangle ).
4) In edit mode, selected all the vertices and assigned them to weapon_bone.
5) exported the smd :v:

When i select everything in object mode and hit ctrl+p it asks if i want to parent to the object, or parent to the bone. I parented to the bone.
Not sure how to assign every vertex to weapon_bone either.

1) select the model THEN the bone and then press ctrl + P :

User will take +x% damage from ranged attacks while active
And if he wants reverse Fists of Steel: -x% damage from melee attacks while active.
Get fucked up by Pyros and anyone who is smart enough to shoot at you. Destroy anyone who's too dense to melee you: Spies, Engineers, Medics (sometimes), survive a Puff & Sting (especially if overhealed).

Well i fixed the vertex groups issue. I had 2 groups for some reason so to be safe i deleted everything except the weapon_bone group and assigned all of my mesh to that group.
There's still a problem with the bone though. Should the mesh be a parent of the bone, or vice versa?
