Ok fixed it so he doesn't stab himself in the crotch any more.

Make the bottom a little longer so it doesn't clip with his hand.
Alright, so I decided to fix the clipping the drum has with the ground by moving it inwards.
Is this a welcome change? (I also made the drum a little bigger)

I saw the front, thought that's some kind of an AK then realised it's a minigun.
Looks pretty nice.

Ok done
You should make the whole thing a little smaller, it's a bit huge.
I really like it, but it's a real shame we can't get some anims so we can use it on the Medic. I just think giving the pyro random stuff is more of an art style misdirection than "adding to his wacky and crazyness".
Yeah. Pyro started out with a fire axe. Then he/she got a barb-wire axe, which fit the psycho 'personality'. Then he/she got a sledgehammer. Then a car battery and tire jack put together into something that resembles a hammer. What's Pyro's style, again?
Pyro's style changed from "Pyromaniac lunatic" to "Generic idiot-crazy guy"

What do you guys think?

That glass roof looks nice.
Oh, and let's have Pyro hit people with a rubber duck, because rubber ducks are silly, and silly can be associated with crazy, and Pyro is crazy!

Not really much to think, actually. But at least there's lots of room for improvement, so keep buildin' that shit up :v:

I got bored, so I made this for you.

Quick, name it something like the Talent Crutch!
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/PiVam.png[/img_thumb]
Ok done
That looks pretty cool.
The stats i can imagine for it would be something like:
- 20% less damage
- Increased melee range (like eyelander distance)
- Deals crits to enemies with health above 75% ( :v: )
The Crippling Crutch
So I've been trying to pretty-up my first hat, that I made a while back but never released...
All I did was to add two small pieces to the sides, like some sort of ropes, but now the UV unwrapping is all messed up:
(white stripes supposed to be sawing marks)

turns out all stretched out like this:

(the outlines in general get all squiggly - http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr106/lilBrother22/whattheducklines.png)
Anyone know how to control the UV unwrapping in Blender?

Mark the seams then press U and then unwrap to unwrap it. Then in the UV editor, you can move the parts around.

Updated the killicon by request (you bastard)

Added just a inch of detail to the end of it.
Should I just leave it as it is now?
Mine is prettier.

When I saw this I decided my vote for a name is Pashmina. I'm not sure why, it's not even russian, but it just seems to fit.

Does it mean solid colours?
Does it mean solid colours?
I have no idea what it means, I think it's some sort of fabric.
I am making some progress with bones at least. That ring is the bottom of the torch, it's inside my face apparently.

Well, at least it's actually attached to Pyro now, instead of the floor.

Ask me, I'm Russian, maybe I could make a prettier name.

It's always been a part of the pyro... Just not in his hands.
I fucked up something with the bone. Should it have a local location or a global location in blender? How can i make the weapon's angles correspond to the bone's angles?

It's far quicker to test your model in the model viewer, open up the pyro, an do "load weapon" and load your torch. Saves a lot of time opening tf2 up
For the chinese minigun, i have a suggestion for a name.
Sulian Rao

Not my model, but I figured it fit. Come up with a better one by all means, it just popped into my head is all.

Valeria maybe. Or Marfa. I think Marfa is good.
[editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
Cuz it has the traditional ornaments and Marfa is tradintional(but rare now) name.
A few more screenshots of the minigun, still no UV maps.

select weapon, select bone, press Ctrl+P, choose armature deform with empty groups, assign vertices to vertex groups, ???, profit

I guess something is really wrong with my bone usage. No matter how i rotate the model the weapon stays in that position.

Thanks i will try that.
