I still think the heavy could do with some sort of explosive weapon, I've always thought heavy weapons as miniguns and explosive artillery.
However I've got a concept of an SMG for the sniper I'm planning to do at some stage, its pretty blocky though to be honest so I'll have to find a way to make it more, appealing.
Ideal kinda got inspired in my head from the design of the glock 17.

As long as it doesn't stray into Demo or Soldier's territories (Grenades and Rockets), this is a good idea. An artillery cannon is 'heavy weaponry'...

Don't forget about:
- A Scout pistol replacement that isn't a drink
- A Sniper SMG replacement that actually shoots bullets
- A Soldier shotgun replacement that isn't a backpack
- A Pyro shotgun replacement that shoots bullets (As much as I love the Flare Gun, it would be pretty interesting to see a Pyro gun with incendiary ammunition)

Maybe make it extreme damage, but only with a charge, long deploy time, and you get stunned and stuck into a wall if you charge into it.

-40% damage normally.
+250% damage with Targe's critical
Charge cannot be halted by airblasts, Natascha, FaN or explosives.
And yes, you can swing it, but it does really shitty damage without the targe so..

Dun dun duuuun!
Casual Demoman. Used Rebbacus' nude models as a base for arms and torso started detriangulating it and edited it quite alot. Later in zBrush I did a high poly model for the trousers and the shirt so we can get full normal map awesomeness. The right demoman is just with a 3dsmax viewport shader.
Now I still need a permission for Rebbacus. It'll be nice if you reply on this.
