That's my excuse at least. Gold might work even better. You're kinda right on the plastic and metal thing. It's very recognizable, unlike current torches which have very varying designs and are unrecognizable out of context. I don't really like the idea of just spraying that flame over the torch, it would look silly. If this were implemented you could probably have other pyros (or yourself, maybe through taunt) light it, which would make it memorable enough. I don't think it needs anything else to make it obvious it's a torch, I just think it needs more detail to make it more interesting to look at. If that makes sense. in b4 ninjas
Quick update on the lance. Made it much bigger because it looked puny in the HLMV. I also added a poking thing and a flag that will be jiggleboned. My plan is to have it replace the Caber using the Eyelander animations. After the first hit, the lance will break in half. For the first hit, it would have the long range of the Eyelander without the health penalty that comes along with it. After that, it would have essentially the same stats as the bottle with the only downside being no random crits. Maybe not useful for a Demoknight, but useful for the Demoman who only brings out his melee as a last resort. Of course, Valve could probably come up with something more clever. Mostly, I just want it to break because it would be a cool skin for the Caber.

But it would look kind of retarded unless done right. Is it possible to make a minigun with clips? It would be nice to have it fire arrows and have one arrow removed from the model per shot.
