i need ideas for a fist and shotgun repalcement and a hat to go along with the m61.
For fists???????
i need ideas for a fist and shotgun repalcement and a hat to go along with the m61.
Heavy needs a little support carrying that beast. Okay now that I'm done being an idiot I'll start thinking of serious ideas. :v:
i was thinking about a black hole generator fist attachment, but i would need someone to draw me up a concept.
i like the models displayed so far but unless valve makes the ranged weapons weak then medieval mode is just going to end up like normal gameplay. i really wouldn't want to face weird medieval sentries when all I have is my fists!
I think a crossbow sentry would be strong, but slow. No rapid fire like the regular sentry.

Not really a weapon or a hat, but I have been working on a shitty saxton hale grass sclupture thingy for some map God, I suck with textures

How dare you call this Saxton Hale?
No mustache? How dare you call this Saxton Hale?
There is a mustache, it's not visible due to the shittyness of the texture
Is that realy a mustache???....
There is a mustache, it's not visible due to the shittyness of the texture [img_thumb]http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/8669/saxtongrassssss2s.jpg[/img_thumb]
Honestly, it looks more like a swollen upper lip. I know it's a grass statue, so it shouldn't have too much detail, but it's Saxton Hale. The mustache should be quite distinct.
Mjeh, I think a wand would be cooler if you're going to make a Mage weapon for Pyro. If you're skilled enough to make new animations, then surely you shouldn't be wasting such potential on just making animations for something that technically isn't a weapon. If it was a wand, then it would be a weapon, and would make more sense as an unlockable.
I agree that just the hand would be kinda weird as an unlock, but am also averse to the idea of a wand. How about a magic tome of some sort, which the Pyro would hold in the left hand while doing the fireballs with the right? (Yay, I finally got a working activation email so I can be consturctive isntead of just lurking!)
(Yay, I finally got a working activation email so I can be consturctive isntead of just lurking!)
I know what are you talking abbout. I registered 3 mounths ago and recived activation e-mail yesterday.
What about some sort of Greek Fire for the Medieval pack? A pyro secondary that doesn't deal damage by itself, but ignites a way harder to put out fire (like liquids not being able to put it out, a small health pack only shortening its effects and requiring longer healing by a medic/dispenser to go out). It would also be able to burn other pyros (way less damage, tho'), and, as a drawback, burn its user.
Really wanted to know if this is a stupid or a good suggestion, somehow I really liked it.
This thing's not that different from before since I'm thinking about what to do with the belt. I'm not sure if this is the best solution.
Really wanted to know if this is a stupid or a good suggestion, somehow I really liked it.
To be honest, we're not obliged to comment. Valve makes the stats for the weapons and not us. Also, nice file name.

A mage with a staff that shot fireballs would be a clearly recognizable stereotype. I just really don't like the idea of a weapon that doesn't add a new model, and the idea of a black hole implementation thing sparkwire mentioned sounds both like a not very recognizable weapon concept (aside from plausibly Bioshock) and like something that would look very weird.
Perhaps the Staff could be both Melee and secondary? That'd be cool.
Have someone noticed the clipping on Backscratcher when taunting?
If I may ask, how much money are you making each month from your items Royzo?
Perhaps the Staff could be both Melee and secondary? That'd be cool.
Perhaps cool, but would cause some problems. If it was equip-able in the Melee slot and worked like a secondary, it would be overpowered. If it was equip-able in one slot and disabled the other slot, it would be a completely unique feature and would probably require extra coding from Valve. If it was equip-able in the secondary but could be used like a melee, it would be a really strange function for a secondary :S

I think the weapon should be immediately recognizable by looking at it, not by noticing there's nothing where it should be. I don't know if I'm making sense. I like the idea of a tome better than the idea of a staff though. I just don't see the staff looking as good. A cool idea for the book might be to make him hold a completely/kinda unrelated book, since he can already Hadouken without needing a book. "Pyro iz so dum, eh doesn't realize that book is completely unrelated to his fireball-throwing powers! HAHA so funnee".
I'm trying to make my horns paintable... No luck so far. Every color i use results in black. Can someone explain how you go about making hats paintable?
I like the idea of a tome better than the idea of a staff though. [editline]14th January 2011[/editline]
Burning shiny fireball is completely unrecognizble.
Weapons are supposed to be recognized before they're used on you. Recognizing a threat doesn't help much if you're dead.

I don't know how to justify it now, but I still think it would make it more obvious and look cooler (in my opinion) to have him hold a tome than holding the fireball Bioshock-style. Also on the staff thing, I played Oblivion and I still don't like staves. I don't know what it is, they just don't appeal to me. Specially if you're using them to point at people and casts spells, I think fireballs look much cooler coming from hands.
Weapons are supposed to be recognized before they're used on you.
