Yup, cracked wood would(???) look nice. It's a practise sword, right? Make it used-a-lot wooden sword. Also make th texture more "wooden"

You need to make it more like this. Remodel it so it's more planky and less smooth. Add cracks, splinters and a few nails. The basic model is actually very easy since it's just a few simple shapes.

the direction i attempted to go with on this hat is a modern picture of public schooling.
the cone on top represents the dunce hat, a flag of inferior intelligence that humiliates students.
the cone-eyes represent the limited range of experiences and views that students experience, and the checkers represent the inconsistent views students are given on what is right and wrong.
finally, the label "cone" on the end of the cone represents the fact that students are spoon-fed information and answers, rather than letting them explore the subject themselves.

the tub thing holds battery acid which powers the drill, and on each kill more acid is created which makes the drill spin faster and with more torque, ie more powerfully.
my problem is that i dont know what the drill motor should look like.

yes, shortly after posting the image on this website i received several e-mails from the TF2 team, expressing their wish to add this item to the game immediately. however, i declined as it is still a WIP since i still need to add the spinning anims for the cones.

um there will be electrodes dipped into the acid, i know that thats not how batteries work but who cares.

It's close enough, acid and suitable electrodes can be used to generate electricity
