valve only changed a texture for that. Its not like they reshapped the hat. The hair is already ill fitting for the class. Unlike that hat that was originally fine till changed.

All of that is irrelevant because of the time period of the game. The punk culture wasn't till the mid 70's Plus you use a fairly modern punk band as an example.
Plus don't pull a JoshuaC on us. The reason people give there views in the emporium is because there the people who see the items in-game and is and your target audience. Learn to take criticism if the model doesn't go down well you have to let it go and make a newer one.
