I do agree with Dement, though, why are you going through the trouble of making this, Spark? The sniper rifles don't have a reload animaiton. You'd be better off retooling some of the other weapons, like the Loch-N-Load.

Everyone uses DX8 because Valve hasn't optimized TF2 in a long time and because our computers suck DX9 gives us 2 fps.

As far as I can tell you only lose a few things.
1. You'll lose the glow off weapons when they're crit boosted.
2. Phong shading.
3. Paint.
My responses to that is
1. You still get the sparky effect, so you'll know when you're boosted.
2. Phong shading isn't all that great anyway and the game already has dynamic lighting which is good enough for me.
3. Okay, paint is cool and all, but not -necessary- to play.

The sparky effect is terrible, Im playing on lowest settings on a steady 10 fps (lol) with the frontier justice, it comes on and I die from not moving
I KNOW, it's horrible, but it's the only way I can tell when I'm boosted.
That's why I can't wait to get a DX9+ computer! Delete that shit.
I think the sound effect enough tells you when you are boosted
