so let's think about this sydney sleeper is useless and underpowered as fuck let's give it an additional nerf by giving it a huge reload time WHAT [editline]31st December 2010[/editline] Although yes, that's smoothly animated. Do a cool animation for the Short Stop instead :3
You know what would be uber cool? If the Sydney sleeper was a semi-auto weapon with this reload animation. So you'd get like 6 "darts" that can be fired faster than the bolt-action sniper (maybe revolver speed?) where you don't even have to zoom out between shots, at the cost of a lack of headshots and, of course, the reload animation.
A bit late to the party, but if you're twisting the entire damn weapon directly upwards in your view, that is entirely contrary to the other TF2 animations. Every other weapon dips down and to the left (for the default viewmodels), or simply moves very little. There are a couple exceptions (revolvers), but it's generally nonintrusive. Spark, your animations are smooth, and they're not inherently bad... but they don't gel with the TF2 style.
Progressing.
What is the yellow band supposed to be?
What is the yellow band supposed to be?
An accesory.
How does it look without it?
How does it look without it?
Like a mug that says: #1 sniper. Heh just joking, uploading the screen. [editline]31st December 2010[/editline]
You should make it look like it's strapped to the Pyro's head.
Put some tape on it.
You should make it look like it's strapped to the Pyro's head.
It's stucked on his respirator.
I get 45 FPS average on DX9, actually. And I have a shitty computer...
I get around 60 fps when I'm not in battle, and it goes down to about 30 while in battle. Running everything on high though so I'm not sad at all, only if I could fix the lagspikes I get randomly for no fucking reason. No other game has lagspikes, not even Saints Row 2. Only TF2 has spikes occasionally when I freeze for about half a minute just to die by someone else and spawn in the room. Shit's so annoying.
Put some tape on it.
That's what I want the yellow thing to be, but I'm still a noob on modeling, I would tell someone else to do it though.
That's what I want the yellow thing to be, but I'm still a noob on modeling, I would tell someone else to do it though.
Oh. Okay.
I honestly think it looks much better with out the yellow band.
Yeah, I usually get 2-10 fps with dx9, I havent tried dx8 yet, Is it worth trying?
Have you tried this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5187584/cfg.txt See guille, i think you should put some pieces of tape like this As in, making the mug stick to the mask.
Voting time: Which colour scheme is looking better to you guys? Keep in mind the base colours are subject to tweaking Agree for Brown Disagree for Grey Optimistic for Super Rainbow
I think it would be better like that: Also, try to make Pyro's name without using fonts, make it yourself using a brush so it feels more "handmade". Another thing, don't erase completely the Sniper's name, leave it even a little scribbled at the background with some "wear and tear" plus Pyro's tentative to remove it.
God damn it remind me to never add a gag option to a vote ffffffffffff
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/wiplolderp.png[/img_thumb] Optimistic for Super Rainbow
Reminds me of
Reminds me of [img_thumb]http://www.yourprops.com/norm-4a6def025fe6e-Back+To+The+Future+2+(1989).jpeg[/img_thumb]
As awesome as that hat is I don't think i'm gonna be going in that direction God bless you Marty McFly
So I'm considering picking up modeling of hats...Can someone link me to that steam thread with the tutorial so I can try it out?

Also the "idea" of the misc, is that pyro tried to drink the coffee, and got the mug stuck on his respirator.
How do you compile c_models, guys, I'm thinking of bring this back: [img_thumb]http://gyazo.com/1f0863dddbe8dce5387387684b8e5311.png[/img_thumb]
It's still wrong way around. Yes, both ends have holes, but it's no reason to shoot from the butt end of a shotgun. [img_thumb]http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/3809/100hinphotoshop.png[/img_thumb] If you keep it that way for the looks at least remove the trigger, folding rail (useless if you have handles blocking the path), front and back sight from the right end.
I'll combine all the ideas, it'll have a tape in the position posted by insyami. I will also try to add the scribbles.
Yeah, let me pull 500 dollars out of my butthole :D I hope I get enough money out of my tax check to buy an Xbox and parts for a new computer. :( EDIT No, seriously, there are other DX8 users besides me. How do I fix this problem?
Now you're being retardedly stupid, you can pick up a 8800GT for fuck all and that will allow you to run games in DX9. Stop thinking you need a bloody "supah computah" with quad GTX 420s and 24gb ram, because all your whining is making it sound like that's what you're going for. It's exact copy of folding light RPG with handles attached to the wrong end while the trigger and sights remain on the right side. I've fired that thing in the army.
Could someone make a pack of emporium releases that you can use in the itemtest feature?
It is. It's exact copy of folding light RPG with handles attached to the wrong end while the trigger and sights remain on the right side. I've fired that thing in the army.
Someone clearly doesn't understand the term INSPIRED.
@Donksuli: So what you're saying is that it is an exact copy except for the changes.
Someone clearly doesn't understand the term INSPIRED.
Someone clearly doesn't understand how light RPG like that is operated. Also, you clearly do not understand what I'm saying. I do not want it to be just like, I'm saying why the heck does it have all that stuff that clearly indicates it's held the wrong way around. Either turn it around, trash the sights or move the sights to the other end.
@Donksuli: So what you're saying is that it is an exact copy except for the changes.
Exact isn't the right word, but similar enough for me to say I could unpack that sucker with my eyes closed and fire a tank with it that is 200m away in under 30 seconds. Only thing I see missing are the plugs in each end that keeps dirt away (attached to the sling) from the insides and safety trigger.
