I am suddenly reminded of Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
OMG, that game was the best ever. I must now make a model, homage to that game.
Alright, so I changed the sniper rifle a little, and I think it looks much better now. [img_thumb]http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/3766/muchbetter.png[/img_thumb]
The end of that scope is a little too big; it either needs to be a tad shorter or a little thinner. Also, that battery pack looks a little out of place. If you made it less prominent it would be great. The new slope of the magazine looks wrong to me, but then again i thought that you shouldn't have changed it in the first place. Besides that stuff i think it rocks. Keep up the good work man!
Put some lense caps?
The scope's perfect as is.
The dimensions on the scope look out of place. Try making the middle a bit thicker.

Let it be as productive and as funny as the last one.

What needs to be done to make it a 10?
What needs to be done to make it a 10?
I can see too much original sniper rifle body in your model. It doesn't fit the rest. Also the battery thing on the side is neat, but it just doesn't fit it... [sp]IMO.[/sp]
What needs to be done to make it a 10?
The feedback given by everyone :v:
Unrelated to your work, Cake, but I'd rather like to see a synthetic black metal rifle with an absurdly long barrel. Something like the Fallout 3 Sniper Rifle (Except longer).
Also the barrel- why does it start out small then get huge? I don't like that.
Also the barrel- why does it start out small then get huge? I don't like that.
That's just the camera's perspective. No, it's a small barrel. Then a huge tube covers it. Then the original barrel is revealed again. I don't like that. It's not the camera's perspective. The stock also doesn't look like it should fit on the huge tube.
My first time modelling attempt began at 2am yesterday and continued for a few hours while I fucked about in Blender. Current result: Comments, criticisms, improvements, go.
Comments, criticisms, improvements, go.
That's actually pretty good for a first time. Gives me confidence to model something.

I want that chicken hat.

(After you sort out smoothing, of course)
That's actually pretty good for a first time. Gives me confidence to model something.
I've been working in Blender for ~2 months in a computer graphics 3D modelling course at my school, and had previous 3DS Max experience. Not much though.. :v: It's really not as hard as people make it out to be, if you want to try, you definitely should. Anyways, I need that criticism. Let's hear it, people. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline]
hmm. I think you should... UV, Texture, and release.
Not done the modelling aspect yet. I'm deadset on following through and releasing in the next 2-3 days though so be patient.
I have an idea for a new weapon for the Pyro, it's a gigantic match. You can strike it by hitting the wall, the ground, or an enemy player. It stays lit for about 5 seconds and then goes out. While lit, it ignites struck players and does normal fire axe damage. Striking it on an enemy does the equivalent amount of damage that a mini-crit hit from the regular fire axe does. Hitting an ignited player more than once while the match is lit does crits, just like the flare gun does. After it goes out it deals half the normal damage of the fire axe and it can be replaced by touching the resupply cabinet. I don't have a good idea for what I'll be naming it. Here's some concept art. Drew a Pyro glove in there for reference. You are free to try and model this for yourself, I have no idea how to model or do anything like that, all I want is credit for the idea.
Needs a little knot on top.
When I figure out how to do that I'll be sure to add one.
That's just the camera's perspective. It might look better if they were moved under the barrel and placed lengthwise (like one on top of the other). As for the barrel, I love how it becomes really thick at the end. It would be a shame if you got rid of that.

It fits pretty well with the default Eternal Reward ones too though. Also, I suck at jigglebones. That little tassle will be the death of me.

Then remove the tassle, it's not like it looks really important.
stuff
Wow, really nice model and texture. 9.9/10 because it doesn't quite fit in the Spy's hand right.
Then remove the tassle, it's not like it looks really important.
If I can't get the jigglebones to look right then I'll remove it. I want to keep it though because it gives it that little extra flair.
