I'm not even sure which hats are communtiy hats and which aren't. But suffice it to say there are some good community hats out there that i have no beef with. If anyone wants to make their own custom configuration and post it, go ahead. I personally am happy with my current configuration.
This disables Voodoo Juju! Why would you do that, it's not even a promo hat D:
While I won't use it, thanks for making it. Might come in handy.
Does this give FPS boosts? It seems that disabling unusual hat effects gives a minor performance boost. I dunno about disabling hats though.
Thank you for proving this, a lot of people seem to blame hats for their FPS drops when its really something else going on.
Thanks OP for this, you own.

even though i only like about 5-7 of the hats in-game, i deal with all of them, with bullets.
Thank you for proving this, a lot of people seem to blame hats for their FPS drops when its really something else going on.
Hats could very well be contributors to FPS loss. Considering they range anywhere from 200 poly to 800 poly per hat, if you were to disable every hat in the game i guarantee it would probably give a decent performance boost. I personally don't care since my computer runs TF2 fine. Do hats even have LOD models?
I'm sure my opinion of what hats are good and which are not differs from yours and therefore it'd be too much of a pain to redo after every update but I still appreciate the effort.
Okay so since the new update came out i am trying to get this SVN shit working. I can't figure out how to apply the changes from a previous revision to the new text file though.
Okay never mind! I had to use a combination of Git and tortoiseSVN but i finally got it all figured out. If you run SVN update you should get the latest version of the file which works with the MMO weapon update.
I swear to god, for some reason the title of this thread reminds me of Fireman from Megaman: Powered Up. This is a nice mod. I won't be using it myself but at least it gives those who want their art style back what they want.
5$ says that the next meet the team video is going to parody the current state of tf2 :v:
I saw this last week and I was thinking "wow, way to be butthurt over hats". Then I played TF2 today. Seriously. This bright green fucking hat looks retarded. The kiddie wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get a fucking screenshot. So: Is there a way you can disable hat coloring with this mod? The hat didn't look bad to begin with, but these bright fucking neon hats are irritating as hell.
I'm going to paint all my hats neon green to annoy you.

Unless the hex values for the colors are stored in this text file i'm not sure it is at all possible. If the colors were stored then you'd at least be able to modify the more annoying colors. As it stands i don't think it's possible.
I'm going to paint all my hats neon green to annoy you.
My tree already comes in a delicious green color. If it ever becomes paintable I am so painting it lime
Quick question. Where the fuck did my genuine hachimaki go? I mean, it's not even in my ingame backpack anymore, even though it's still in backpack scanners like tf2b. The fuck's goin' on here, dawg?
Ask support. But yeah don't bump 4 week old threads alright
I was hoping MerzBro would mosey along and help. I don't see the problem with bumping up a thread if I need help. It's not even a major bump, so calm down.
