I've had that happen to me for using targe and sword because I wasn't playing demo properly a.k.a admin got butt hurt about being ambushed by my charge and getting killed as for direct hit? Not realy

I haven't had this happen to me, but it'd be pretty funny if it did. Shows the servers to avoid, at least.
Personally, I'm not very good with the DH. I don't have much playtime as a Soldier to begin with, but couple that with being used to the splash of the normal rockets and it pretty much means I'm useless with it.
They banned you because they know you're an infamous furry shitposter on FP.
Or it could be the DH. Honestly, DH isn't to bad, but you really need to know where to aim.

Internode has that ridiculous filter that instabans you if you have an "offensive" name.
I was worried that people would develop the notion that the regular rocket launcher is just for the less experienced players. As much as I like the direct hit(I use it often) there are simply things it's not as good for, like fighting big groups of enemies at once, or with Kritz.
Not that there's even a fucking excuse to ban someone just because they're less experienced either way. You're better off not going to the server as it is, because it's clearly full of douchebags.
I depend too much on the blast radius to do shit.
Such as killing enemies hiding just behind corners.

I'm sure you lost nothing valuable by getting banned from those servers, so I wouldn't worry about it.
If anything, the admins are helping you clean the trash from your server browser.
i use the Regular RL all the time.
In fact when you are using the BuffBanner it's almost a necessity. Getting the rage damage built up is easier when you can at least get some rage if you miss.
The Direct hit is useful i find but it's circumstantial like most of the new unlocks.
The GunBoats are only useful on maps that give you a genuine advantage ofr Jumping around a lot.
The Targe and eyelander are only really good on offence and then Scores is only really good on defence. (and i find myself using th GL much more and doing well with it.)
Never visit that server you got banned from again. They are dickheads so if they don't provide a good service, don't use the product.

I have not been banned on the account of unlockables for quite some time now. Most recent was because I was wearing a Beret. But no, I haven't seen anyone get banned for using or not using the Direct Hit.
