The previous soul patch had a strange shape due to it being too wide and forked. Perhaps reintroduce a different one with a tighter upside down triangular shape? Something to bridge the space between the lower lip and the chin wig.

For consistency purposes, probably. But not everyone has the same color facial hair as their actual hair.
Probably be a good idea to go ahead and give it an alpha even if it isn't meant to be paintable. The Five-Month Beard wasn't submitted as paintable, but Valve made it paintable anyway, haha. I didn't intend that, so I didn't give it a paint mask, and as a result it looks like crap painted.
Once I'm sure the TF2 team is back in the offices, I'll have to submit a fix and nag EricS or something.

Sort of late because I've only just tested this, but I think you named one of the folders in the VPK wrong. It should be c_items, rather than c_models.
In addition, is there a chance you could go over the other 2013 Festives and do this? Pretty much all of them have colours that would work better as cream spirit or have somewhat inconsistent textures between each team. It'd be nice to have it all in one pack rather than having to download a few different mods to do it too.

Even though this is true, it's not exactly visually pleasing. We COULD but shouldn't give Demoman a beard with bright orange and gold flecks of color in it.

There's an specific vmt for each team, so i'd say yes.

the guys in the op need to start finding the mod releases they missed, because there are quite a few missing.
it slightly erks me that you've made the weapons themselves cream-spirit, but not the actual festive lights.
make the yellow lights cream spirit, orange on red and yellow on blu.

Progress on the.... let's call it the Amorous Aussie. Still needs a lot of texture work and tweaking of the mesh. Sits currently at 1399 tris. :X
