Still needs a lot of texture work and tweaking of the mesh. Sits currently at 1399 tris. :X
How about making the doll like a flying pet with animated wings. Like the robro i mean.
How about making the doll like a flying pet with animated wings. Like the robro i mean.
There will be two styles, one as a flying pet. Can't animate it, though.
Where did you guys learn about rigging shirts? i've got a few models lying around, i just need to learn rigging. I know how the process works, but not a good idea of what bones to assign what to
There will be two styles, one as a flying pet. Can't animate it, though.
you can use jigglebones to imitate animation.
wippity basecolours
How would it look like with the hat I drew the concept for?
wippity basecolours
I'd say make the epaulettes just a bit less thick, otherwise great so far
Im trying some different colors for the base color, which do you guys rather like? just make it match pyro's colourscheme, right now the textures you have will probably look fairly awkward ingame unless you have more items that go well with that
curiously, how would a black one look (to match his gloves/straps)
curiously, how would a black one look (to match his gloves/straps)
It Looks pretty cool though... Should I make the base colors paintable and the glass in teamcolor?
It Looks pretty cool though... Should I make the base colors paintable and the glass in teamcolor?
i would go for paintable trim(yellow lines) you could also make 2 styles and just see which valve would prefer
It Looks pretty cool though... Should I make the base colors paintable and the glass in teamcolor?
i'd make the yellow parts be shiny brass instead of jsut being painted yellow, something along the lines of the glove yellow, and i'd def make the main painted areas paintable, not really the kind of item that desperately needs super subtle paint also a lot of your wear seems too exagerated and too even, and the parts that are in corners really wouldn't get scratched up liek that, there would more likely be just dirt gathered up there and i'd prob make the bottom rim unpainted metal like you have on those other parts, seems more consistent and would mark it off from the body better when painted TS too
There's no way to get an object to use team specific normal maps or UVs through the importer is there?
Why would you even need a team specific normal map?
still a wip
still a wip
The bottons look a like they are floating a bit, maybe you can fix it up in the normal map.
[t]http://puu.sh/62MmY.png[/t] i continue my quest for the acceptable scout beard
[t]http://puu.sh/62MmY.png[/t] i continue my quest for the acceptable scout beard
It would need to be a lot more sparse.
[t]http://puu.sh/62MmY.png[/t] i continue my quest for the acceptable scout beard
Cardboard glued to his face does sound like the kind of beard he would have.
Cardboard glued to his face does sound like the kind of beard he would have.
That just gave me an idea
i think if you just left it as the mutton shops it'd be fine

How can I simply mark the black parts as paintable? I know that this is working with creating a mask, but I used alot of layers at this textures and most of them having transparency. For example: How can I cut of the brown rost part (which uses transparency) from the black main color without getting ugly lines around the mask?
[t]http://puu.sh/62MmY.png[/t] i continue my quest for the acceptable scout beard
is scout giving birth through his eyes
That just gave me an idea
i considered that but i just couldve refitting the mutton chops at that point
Why would you even need a team specific normal map?
I wish to carve RED and BLU into a belt buckle.
is scout giving birth through his eyes
they're vageyenas
