Just a fun concept. Hope nobody's thought of it!

Well damn. Sorry, I'll remove it.
noob question here. Is a model's specular map it's normal map's alpha channel? or are they two completely different things?
noob question here. Is a model's specular map it's normal map's alpha channel? or are they two completely different things?
by default, yes. It can also use the diffuse map's alpha if specified.

Don't know if this fits, don't know if the colors are right, just drew what i had in my mind.
by default, yes. It can also use the diffuse map's alpha if specified.
so is one better than the other? or do you have to use the normal map in order to use the $phong parameters?
I guess its somekind of a wood hand? However, the glove replacement should rather be orange.
It's leather, like the falconer, but a wooden replacement sounds quite right.
I guess its somekind of a wood hand? However, the glove replacement should rather be orange.
He is meant to have a leather glove in his hand, as the concept set is about giving the engineer some medieval equipment to use in that same game mode.
I guess its somekind of a wood hand? However, the glove replacement should rather be orange.
Maybe painted, like the Shileds in Skyrim [t]http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120311164058/elderscrolls/images/9/97/WhiterunGuardShield.png[/t]
He is meant to have a leather glove in his hand, as the concept set is about giving the engineer some medieval equipment to use in that same game mode.
Another medieval mode would be awesome.
Another medieval mode would be awesome.
Well after all that talking about a wood hand, Rotzlöffel, VaultScout and i deciadet to make something like that ... in a few days ... because we have other stuff to do befor that ... beep boop ... [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] How about a second Medieval Mode Community Update ?
another old thing by me and spark back from the dead, let us know what you think (suspender shape is going to be fixed so try to ignore them)
What kind of coat is it?
another old thing by me and spark back from the dead, let us know what you think (suspender shape is going to be fixed so try to ignore them)
Looks like the engie put on the pyro suit but then noticed that its quite warm in there. :v:
the puppeteer
...
so is one better than the other? or do you have to use the normal map in order to use the $phong parameters?
If you make a paint mask it has to go in the diffuse, so you'd put it in the normal. Otherwise, put it into the alpha if you don't need a normal and you'll save space.
-pyro engy-
That looks way too much like Pyro. The only diffrerence being the collar, zipper, and the fact he has exposed flesh. You even gave it suspenders... why does it need suspenders? The suspenders don't even have clasps. Not saying it doesn't look good. Just looks too much like Pyro's suit, which isn't good.

The only thing similar really is the fact that they're now both wearing jumpsuits, most other things are teh same, most importantly the sillouette which is more or less unchanged. as for the lack of buckles on the suspenders, that was due to lack of polies, but we're gonna try to work that out
I'll upload soon. For now, it'll be only the image. Edit: Done. If you don't understand the readme guide, I'm sorry for that. And I'll repack it to VPK if many people have the problem in installation. Now that it's fixed I can get back to work. I'm also working on this. A hatless engy with Pyrovision goggles running around with his shotgun would look pretty close to a Pyro with a shotgun. Also, a very large portion of the Engineer isn't team colored, while Pyro has a majority of team coloring. Changing that brings them closer to being mistaken as another class at certain times in game.

Hah, still, pretty awesome for those who want default bats.
Question: Will this ever get finished?
