i think the issue is pyro and engi have obvious sleeved suits. scout has no sleeves, so it's best. heavy and sniper have vests so it's a good cutoff, but engi has a regular shirt on with thin suspenders so it's hard to fit on, same with other classes

I haven't personally made a custom map prop myself yet, but I believe it's fairly simple and ends up pretty similar to the old compiling of hats/miscs/weapons, except you put them in different folders I guess

Not sure about tethers cause i think they might clutter the item. And i'll see about slits, but if you think about it, this will be floating behind the player, so it never actually [I]falls[/I], meaning there's no need for sliiits? I dunno, i guess that would mean someone just put the crate there and it stayed or something. Thanks for yo' crits do :)

I still stand by the principle of having the main thing paintable, just having the glass paintable seems like the lazy way out. I think you need to do it differently though, try doing it with the cover method instead of the tint one. I think that would give much better results if done right. Try to have a very basic metal texture in the base texture and more detail in the alpha for the paint.
also to be honest the texture detail isn't that good atm so i'd say that could be redone more or less entirely
also the pure blue/orange glass on it looks pretty bad and cartoonish imo. would be better off being dark and very shiny like with pyros lenses, maybe even with a bit of envmap on it
honestly i kinda want to have a go at redoing the entire texture for it

Thanks, though i'm not sure what do you mean by cover and tint methods, i guess tint is the tint you define in the importer, could you elaborate that?

May be just me, but I don't like the brown splotches on the back of it. They're too noisy to me. I'd rather see smaller wear and tear and more basecolors.
