Nah man, that's not bad at all. It's a subtle but neat idea and design, illustrated with all desirable clarity. And unlike a lot of people who draw shirt item concepts (including me back when I was an idea guy) you seem to have given thought to how the alterations should be modeled on top of the playermodel without having to cover everything or getting awkward seams. If I was good enough to model and rig shirt items, I'd give it a shot for sure. One question, though. What's going on with those flaps below the belt? Is it meant to have a border all the way around like it's a separate jacket worn on top of the lab coat?
The flaps are supposed to be part of the uniform like this: [editline]8th January 2014[/editline]
Keep in mind that models have been made of far worse. Though I made some changes in gimp, mainly stuff that make it closer to the actual coat you posted. Idunno if it's really worth posting, or really an okay thing to show considering it's just an edit of your idea. Lengthen the lapels, push the pockets so they're tucked under the suspenders a little (not sure how possible that would actually be but the pockets that close together just look funny to me), have the shirt go down over the gloves with the sort of cuffs the uniform has, and add a Red team ribbon to the left arm. Not sure about the flaps you have on there, part of me says it would look better blended with the coat, part of me likes it looking separated.
Please do, I would really like to see the edited picture. As for those flaps, it was supposed to be the end of the unifrom, like the picture above, but i guessed that I forgot to take into consideration about that.
let's just drop the whole nazi coat thing alright
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38397602/Scoutbonkboyshoes.png[/t] Anything I should add?
dood I want that
dood I want that
you can have it, just remember to tell me what I should add to it.
*snippity snip* Anything I should add?
I think it's kinda odd how the wings are just kinda slapped on there. Is there any way to make them look more like they're a part of the design and make the item flow a bit better? Perhaps place them a bit behind the ankles, add a strap or something to make them look less like they're held to the shoes by magics.
Quick question (another one, sorry) but do you have to apply an edge-split modifier in Blender for it to take effect?
Can I ask why noone here thinks there should be a Robotic Booga-two? I don't see why not, considering last year was really fun, even for me.
If we could make it focus on robotic weapons, I'd be all for it.
because neo is god of workshop and they can never judge badly right
yes
*snippity* I guess Neo has spoken, she likes the original more despite it's slapped on there look.
Now I think that looks a lot better myself. But maybe it's just me.
because neo is god of workshop and they can never judge badly right
Are you being sarcastic?
I like the original; more subtle and clean, plus some things actually look surprisingly natural when they're slapped on without being held by something: [t]http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/b/bc/RED_Frenchman's_Beret.png/1024px-RED_Frenchman's_Beret.png[/t]
But those paintbrushes look dumb and annoying and diminish an otherwise lovely hat
I agree. Clean doesn't translate to good-looking. I think the addition of the strap to the shoes breaks up the red quite nicely, and makes the wing bases look more natural. So while it isn't as clean, in the end it looks a bit less garish and has more detail and definition. To each his own, though.
Anything to make this shirt scream hot dog vendor? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38397602/Scouthotdogshirt.png[/t]
Anything to make this shirt scream hot dog vendor? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38397602/Scouthotdogshirt.png[/t]
Maybe put some weiners on the bowtie ?
Anything to make this shirt scream hot dog vendor? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38397602/Scouthotdogshirt.png[/t]
If you're going for a vendor type thing, then a name badge would probably do the trick.

This person was going for a different theme, though. Edit: Linked to an image instead, so you can see the item in question.
Was a fix for the Dogfighter's normals ever made?
my computer wasn't turning on because the power switch in the back was switched to off I am back
Well he it is with a nametag and little hot dogs on the tie [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38397602/Scouthotdogshirt3.png[/t]
Neh. :v: Just a quick edit, my two cents: [T]http://puu.sh/6cZuU[/T]
Even though it does look nicer in my opinion, the workshoppers won't like it. Someone submitted a traditional german officer coat for medic with an armband, and half the comments were either praising or flaming the creator for "making medic into a Nazi."
my computer wasn't turning on because the power switch in the back was switched to off I am back
Why did it take you that long to figure that out ;x
Anyone knows how can add sheen to a weapon? Example, the sheen on the gunslinger doesn't even show
Anyone knows how can add sheen to a weapon? Example, the sheen on the gunslinger doesn't even show
That's because the Gunslinger isn't its own model, it's actually a part of the Engineer's model. I'd presume if you were to modify the vmt that the gunslinger uses you'd also make the Engineer's entire body show the sheen too.
