They almost always look slapped-on and lazy. Maybe have the tie outside the Engie's collar, and put the wrench pattern on that?

remove the wrench pattern completely. it just looks like really bad brush strokes. invert the painted area so it just paints the trim and the shirt. not the tie, etc. make the (current) paintable area operator's overalls. use better lighting position in your HLMV shots. in fact, don't mess with that at all. the AO in the SFM render is bad, it's grainy and not smooth. regardless of all of this, it's still a copy of the FDU. this doesn't fit engineer at all except for maybe the undershirt.

I'm pretty sure lip sync could just be added to those new lines and as long as the custom head has the FACS flexes, mouth movement should work. Getting a decent voice actor isn't all that hard either, rummage around on Newground's BBS, there's tons of decent amateur VA's there looking to get noticed. A lot might even do it for free.
