I'm trying to model a electric-theme shock-knife. Here's a screenshot of the model in Blender so far:

Something about the handguards doesn't look right...

If you make a helmet for this, then the chassis, pauldrons, and gauntlets would be one misc, then the rest (the kilt and boots) would be another misc. It would make this a true "Dragon Knight" or something like that...

I made some slight modifications. Here's another angle of the knife model.
The handguard on the not-knife side looks really out of proportion or something. Is it just me?

Ugg, it just looks like an ordinary knife with a lightning bolt as a blade.
It's like adding a gear to a hat and call it steampunk.
You should add a battery and wire that's in contact with the blade.

i think he meant for those 2 cylinders lining the handle to be batteries.
but that would still be just the gear to your steampunk hat. there are less obnixous ways to make an "electric" themed knife.

Yeah, it uses sticky bomb launcher animations, but it is supposed to be a different weapon type.

i think gigazell's weapon was the one that had to switch classes. the flood of weapons lately is probably more confusing than usual.

The download links for JPRAS' spy weapons on the front page don't work.
Does anyone has a Heavy class image in a reference pose without his ammo belt? I'm drawing a concept that replaces the ammo belt but I can't find a picture without the ammo belt.
Edit: Also, are there pictures of the class posing as if they're holding their weapons? That would be easier to draw onto for a sense of scale.

Ooops, I might have done something wrong in Itemtoast or weird user input.
People should always double check whatever they compile manually or pack with itemtoast for release, either way.
While Itemtoast might seem like magic there's so many formats and ways people can input models/bp icons to repack that its really hard to code/cover to predict all those cases, so always double check your compiles [B]and report[/B] if you see something that goes wrong so I can look into it for future updates.
Preferably always use workshop zip files, these are a "standard" (as long as Valve doesn't change things) and they always have the same folder/file structure and all that, so its much easier to process for Itemtoast.

Sorry for the normal Ref with the Ammo belt, its not a bodygroups, so its better if you draw on it instead, ther is no way for a mod to replace the Ammo Belt, only to cover it

Oh darn, I was planning on making a Terminator Heavy set with the Grenade ammo belt from Terminator 2. Guess I'm scrapping it.
Did anyone publish some fixes for the Heat of Winter? there's lots of clipping with the Medics gloves and the back of the coat during a taunt and stuff
it also looks really blocky around some areas

:v: Sorry, I'm really bad at design. How about instead of batteries on the side, a regular knife handle with the lightning blade but with a 9V battery dangling off the side and the wires from the battery holder taped to the knife?
That's going into my list of "Mods that I'll use forever"

the lightning blade is the bigger problem compared to the battery.

Should I scrap the lightning blade idea and make it sort of like a taser?
anything's better than a lightning shaped blade at this point. did you look at the concept art bang posted in the arms race thread like 2nd to last page? there are ways to make an electric knife without the idea being spelled out so literally.
