Do custom sounds works on the offline server? Or sv_cheats 0/1? Trying to do custom sounds for the Inside Jab, but can't get them to work.

I believe a few of the spy related sound files can't be edited, in order to ensure you don't mod away his stealth.

I REALLY like the gold version, and is what I imagined right from the very first picture you posted. If you made the pommel and counterguards gold, you could leave the wooden grip and silver blade. That'd only be three base colors.

I just renamed the files and the model worked, but not the textures.

I can tell you that is untrue. I recently boosted the volume of the cloak/decloak sound for the invis/cnd watches because I'm very sound sensitive and have to have fairly quiet or risk migraines. And the new sounds are assuredly much louder than they were before. But sometimes the sound just doesn't....well...fire, is as much as I can say. I've been looking directly as spies using invis/cnd as they uncloaked and didn't hear a bloody thing. In a hallway with just me and him. I wonder if it's same bug I get with MvM where most of the sounds except my hitsound disappear.

Did a quick AO with auto unwrap, the original had about 3k tris, so i had to optimize it a lot, wich apparently didn't turn out well.
Anyways, what do you guys think?

Looks a little unbalanced of where the higher and lower details are.
Try keeping it equal, and the eyes look very high poly compared to the breather.

assuming you know how to parent the bones onto the hat, imagine it's like when you make hat
you assign the hat to the bip_head, but now you just assign each section of the body to the proper bone
you should go check out a tutorial on it, sure there's one out there

You can't learn how to texture properly just by watching someone texture their own items. You may learn a few tricks, but you won't learn how to texture just by watching. You have to have a certain "sense" to details, etc.

trial and error works best anyway. tf2 texturing doesnt seem that hard to achieve.
