So I'm trying to create a mod for my rapier, and I've compiled it under the name c_eternal_reward and put it in the same filepath in the custom folder (i tried vpk too), and I'm getting no results.
Does anyone have a quick tutorial or something on how to put together one?

wouldn't it be decompile the weapon, replace the model & texture files with yours and recompile? with its QC?

There would no need for him to change the background because you just need to change the AO layer to overlay.

melee or range? because if its range you want your out of luck there aren't any believe i've looked.. thats why i'm doing wrenches and other melee weapons.

Doing weapons is essentially the same thing as doing cosmetics. Decompile an existing c_model that is similar to what you want to make (ie decompile the machina if you are making a sniper rifle, the brass beast if you are making a minigun with a spinning barrel, etc)
