Does anyone knows where can I find that Soldier's Flyswatter mod which replaced the Disciplinary Action?

What do you guys do to stay motivated to work on your stuff? Is it just the hopes of your work getting in game and the potential payday? I'm only interested in client/server mods so this isn't really a factor for me. It's like the more I learn how to do the less I want to do anything at all. Anyone out there ever feel the same way? I have so much unfinished crap piling up I don't even know how to deal with it anymore.
If your main focus on working on content is to exclusively get it ingame. most people will find that it wont be fun and they wont get the result they want but the majority of contributors work on content as a hobby/for fun. the workshop thing is just a part of it and a bonus really if it does end up gathering positive reactions. as long as you're having fun with it you'll find you will have the motivation to get things done. i suppose that applies for all kinds of things though.

I guess the mood just has to hit you.
What do you guys do to stay motivated to work on your stuff? Is it just the hopes of your work getting in game and the potential payday?
yes. i was going to do it for fun and quit if none of my first 3 items got in. i changed my mind to continue submitting items after getting my first items in, which confirmed to me that i can be confidently making submissions of par quality. on top of that i see a few tricks the importer allows that makes me think "wait, none of you did this yet? why?" gigazell's uber gimmick was one of them, until obviously gigazell came up with it. i still have a few mechanics i want to test out.
What do you guys do to stay motivated to work on your stuff? Is it just the hopes of your work getting in game and the potential payday?
motivation? i do it for the art, i don't really care for the money but then again i could use it. Just imagine hundreds of models, just sitting in the back of drives in some folder waiting to be finished.. i've got a ton of models that need, texturing, rigging and even animations and i've only begun doing this myself because of sparetime but mostly because of the few workshopers i have talked with are mostly busy with their own stuff or the wider amount will take on doing that and then will suddenly drop it a week later because of "reasons" and don't really give much of an explanation beyond that.. i guess the advantage of doing it yourself is that no one else could of done it better because they haven't tried.
I will admit, I've been making 'safer', less silly, items since the workshop, but my aim is to get people dressing up with my items. I always try to highfive players in servers who happen to be wearing my stuff. Which is probably why I haven't been making mods as often, since they're all client-side and there's so many items to replace; I also prefer making larger scale mods like class replacements. I've actually got some larger scale items in the works which I will make as mods though, Valve would never accept them through the workshop anyway. Also for those wondering, I actually finish most of the models I ever start, and my backlog is probably less than 5 models.
Anybody have a good model replacement for the Rainblower? I'm tired of the giant horns getting in the way.
Just a heads up, if anyone is trying to use Itemtoast and loading VPKs, it won't work at the moment. It seems the TF2 vpk.exe tool isn't working well since the last update, just the function to drag & drop a vpk mod into vpk.exe to extract all its content crashes the tool, same if its done by command line (which is what Itemtoast does for when you load a vpk mod). I tried re-downloading the files, still crashes, then I tried using a vpk.exe backup I had and it works, so the current tool is definitely broken. Already emailed the TFTeam & EricS, hopefully they see the email.

so from what i can gather on workshop, no one has done crossbows for sniper.. one would think this would of done a million times over.
Nah there's been at least 2, both released in NOTLU 2012 (iirc), both extremely popular. One by Sexy Robot, one by Reagy.

I wish there were more engineer based Engineer cosmetics. Nothing really goes with the pencil pusher except for the Builder's Blueprints

Yo I know we have a few coders here, would anyone be able to write a program that scans all installed mods and looks for file conflicts? Would be super useful
unwrapped and baked the AO on the knife, is the unwrapping good? (don't mind the AO problems) [t]http://srv1.jpg.co.il/1/531624f970d83.png[/t][t]http://srv1.jpg.co.il/6/5316255a4ecc4.png[/t] still looking for a texturer
do you have a mod of that? Ik it's unfinished but it can still be useful to me (sfm and such)
I left it untextured when I stopped working on it, so I don't think it will look all that great currently in SFM. I plan on releasing a mod for it when I release it in May, since I was going to revive the set anyway for this summer (since the whole set is a summer themed outfit). I know I haven't released mods for my items before, but I will be changing that in a few weeks when my spring break comes. It wasn't my intention to hold them back or anything . . . . I just actually don't have a gamebanana account or anything similar yet. lol
alright np, Looking forward to it.
Yeah, sorry about that. If you guys want to see what the whole set will look like, here is my concept art from a year ago: [T]http://i.imgur.com/wi4jEFi.png[/T] The pants will be reach down to his ankles though since this was actually my very first TF2 concept, so I wasn't sure if it would clip with shoes or not. Luckily, it turned out that they don't so normal-length jeans will happen. (Technically, almost everything is modeled and rigged already, but I still need to texture them, add normals and rework the hairstyle a bit.)
