You probably rigged this well, but not 100% perfect so parts of your model are most likely sinking like 1/100th of an inch into him, making those faces not visible. It might be better remedied just by expanding the model outward a tad.

Unless that modeler went on a mad dash to work on it within the past less-than-a-day, he probably has not made any significant modifications toward your unauthorized suggestion. Just explain the circumstances and tell him that you'll be using your original concept instead.
I went ahead and published my boots because after today my schedule becomes hell. If y'all think they aren't good enough and rate them down, I'll make a mark II next time I have free time.
