We get 'flustered' when people make concepts of the same things, over and over again. Its the same situation with birds. People keep making them because they're usually guaranteed to get into tf2. Stop recycling the same ideas over and over again. Try to be original.
Demoman doesn't have bracers or a shield on his back in-game. There aren't even many, if any at all, on the workshop. What your ignoring is the creativity that will be required to make the bracers actually work, given Demoman's sleeves (I've seen many ideas fail over the years because of those sleeves). Not many sleeve items in game at all (I think 2?) and it'd be nice to see some more people attempt to make it work so future items could take inspiration from them. I hate when ideas are stifled. That seems to be a serious problem with the emporium the last few months and it's really annoying.
Hows this? [T]http://puu.sh/7q5GU.jpg[/T] Adapted it from the sniper's skin colour, altough theres still a little bit of noticeable pink.
I'd fix the collar because it's too bulky. I'd also make the bottom of the shirt look like it has soot.

(I was actually making as partner to the Shogun's Guard at the time) [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1737448/demoarms01.jpg[/t] No particular reason why I didn't finish, guess I just forgot about it.
Those dont look pretty good at all
Agreed. I would love to see someone make a good model of it and make it replace Engineer goggles and hardhat. Now that I think of it, have we ever got any item that make Engineer goggleless in-game?
refined the designs a bit more, id say it looks rather nice.
refined the designs a bit more, id say it looks rather nice.
Hey guys look a new clas-oh
so, someone mention a while back you could change the position of the muzzle flash and projectile with a addition to the QC File. could someone give me an example of this and i'm also curious to find out it ifs also possible to strip a weapon of its reload animation like the deus ex shotgun.
Eh, I was trying to make a goggle thing for the Demo based on this image: My problem is with the mask. I thought about these options: - Remove the left eye goggle part and put the eyepatch over the mask there; - Make the glass part broken, like the Deus Ex Glasses; - Remove the left goggle part and make the mask look ripped off on the left eye part, revealing the eyepatch. - Replace the mask with something else, like safety goggles, but it turned out really weird. I would like to receive some suggestions.
could always just leave it I'm not blind but I'm pretty sure if I was in one eye I wouldn't take the time to intentionally break half of all my eye/face wear

Ok, it's up for grabs. I'm happy with how it turned out. The lonely miner set: Cape Goggles Lantern (alternate) Now that I think of it, this set wouldn't be possible without the three misc feature. I still see pretty few sets using three miscs instead of the classic "2 miscs 1 hat" stuff. I don't feel quite confortable with the goggles. Some feedback would be relly good.

I will never understand why you guys are so against people making items that they want to make. If someone wants to make Demoman armor, or companion miscs, it's their right and all power to them. Not everyone's looking to make the next big Mann Co Store item or the next big set piece. Quite honestly, in a thread where we are supposed to give tips on how to do things better and help each other display works in progress, telling people to stop making an item because it's "been done before a lot" is pretty rude and counter intuitive to the purpose of the thread itself. Let people make what they want, help them improve the model itself, and if you have nothing nice or constructive to say about the concept/model, don't say anything at all. And no, "it's been done before so don't do it" isn't constructive. That's destructive.

Shall i add pockets ?
put some red on the pockets too seeing as you're covering up the undershirt

Just some bags for the demo. Wanted to practice rigging. Model isn't done, and texture is just a place holder.
Here have a shako [t]http://i.imgur.com/1TIZ7fs.png[/t] it's meant to be a hat that matches this: http://i.imgur.com/0MiqYGq.png since I'm not a fan of competing. However the person modeling the coat won't do the hat, so who would like to do the hat?

a bit of topic, but i actually though you were from Venezuela.
Wait so you made a new hat to go with the shirt you originally designed around another hat because someone else made a similar shirt for that same hat? :v:
Well after looking back at my shirt, it seems more like a victorian era military coat where as Pag's looks more like a victorian era firecoat. Besides you can never have too many shakos.
Why not make the goggles/hood one item (a hat), the lantern another, and the tunic a third?
At first I wanted to do only the goggles and the lantern, but I ended up using the tunic idea from that image I posted before. I liked the hood without the goggles, but I actually think your idea is better. Too bad that the importer still doesn't support styles, even though it's been almost an entire year... :/
front pockets usually have a seam. maybe that would help
Ohoho, silly me. I didn't recognize these as front pockets. I thought that they were just strips. I would make as heinous said. It would be good enough.
