Since you guys are talking about brushes and programs, I use Photoshop for drawing. Until now I tried making shadows or darker areas with either getting darker colors with low opacity and by using the burn tool. Which one do you guys think is the best way? For me, the burn tool gives more of a TF2 lighting feeling, but idk. Also, up to now I've used like Brush, Sponge and Burn tool, besides the pen. Do you guys recomend any other tool when making concepts? Black outerlines are good or is it better to use colorful ones? Thanks in advance.

the american flag patch is probably a bad idea, valve has shown dis-concern for having it on items because they don't want to change the colors of it for teams. the dappers topper is a semi-relevant example.
